Ewe Ewe Ewe. My mom gave me some fresh arugula from my mom's garden. It sat in her fridge for a few days and I just took a huge handful and put it under a bed of jerk chicken. Heated it up. Ate it. Looked at the plate a few hours later and there's a little green inch worm dude. Still alive. Lived through days in the fridge and the microwave (I admittedly don't heat things up too hot), and I JUST MISSED eating him. I finished the plate, but the dude must have crawled into a corner or something and avoided the fork.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Been almost a full 24 hours since anyone has posted in this thread, guess I will get the ball rolling.
As those that read the Career/College Advice know, I graduated in May and I'm currently job searching. I have an interview set up for the middle of this month that was scheduled two weeks ago. I have been wishing time away to get to this interview, and I really don't want to do that. Trying to get back in shape, play as much golf as I can, and spend time with my girlfriend. Problem with that is, my girlfriend is super busy as she works full-time as an RN and she is a full-time student....I also don't have a good place to run and work out at in my hometown. Just feel like I am in a rut and that I really can't move on from it until I find a job and get my own place away from my hometown.
I'm also getting ready to finish Stranger Things (two episodes left)...if you haven't started it yet, you really should.
Wishing you the best of luck with the interview! Ruts can be frustrating, but thankfully they are temporary. I hope yours is over very soon.

This is a good omen! DON'T KILL IT! Keep it as a pet & feed it, the universe is trying to tell you something.
I was walking down a creek for work and came through a thick bunch of willows. About 15-20' away from me, a moose and her calf quickly get up and start moving away from me. We startled each other.
My first reaction was one of slight panic, a moose and her calf are nothing to mess with. Thankfully they moved away through the willow thicket quickly.
I then fumbled for my phone to try and get a quick pic. All I got were shots of moose butt walking away from me. So I improvised and made a loud whooping sound. That got them to look back, and gave me the following shot. You can see the calf's head below the mothers if you look closely.
I also had a cool experience with a bald eagle last week. The eagle circled around me for several minutes, and was probably only 50' above my head when it passed over me. It kept making this chirping/squeaking sounds too, something you'd expect from a much smaller bird. I then saw it land above its nest across the river.
Still not sure what it was doing, definitely wasn't trying to intimidate me, and never saw it hunt. Assume it was calling to another eagle, but never saw one. Only seen bald eagles driving by in the car, so this was the closest/longest I've been able to see one in nature.
And my coworker saw a wolverine today, they're pretty rare in the area.

Titus Andronicus and the Mowgli's are coming to Columbia on the same date in September. TA are playing a 200 person venue (Rose Music Hall) and the Mowgli's are playing the Blue Note, an 800 person venue.
I am only vaguely familiar with either discography. Which one should I go to?

i also bought my friend a ticket to join my GF and I at a festival next weekend for his birthday. he's gonna shit himself when he finds out. gift giving can be fun!
what are your go-to pump up/gym songs? I'm working on my workout playlist and it's too much odesza, phantogram, and rufus du sol at the moment..
PS. baby showers suck. not as much as *wedding showers* because at least baby showers serve a purpose.
The gym is rocking a late 90's / early 00's pop punk Pandora station today. Not stuff I normally listen to anymore, but a nice mix of green day, NOFX, blink182 et al. and I like it. Even hit my pre-injury deadlift PR today too.
Our AC/furnace got fully replaced on Monday (as was mentioned previously in the GRR thread, lol)... Holy moly. Money well spent. It doesn't run all day anymore and it's nice and cool in here. Our 9 year old actually said he liked the old one better because he woke up cold. I told him to use a blanket.

Hey, if anyone can give me any pointers on how to get Stranger Things on DVD, please send me a message. I have Netflix, but my sister has neither Netflix nor sufficient hardware to do so even with my account. Stranger Things so far is reminding me so much of things we watched growing up that I'd like her to be able to give it a whirl.
