Morning everyone. Anyone have a Foo Fighters presale pass code? I put in my email, but never got anything sent to me. Is it unique or is a general one?

pretty funny for a 20 year old band.
TMBG have 4 very popular children's albums, and do kids shows from time to time. A lot of parents have no idea that TMBG is an actual band, and they've had problems with people bringing toddlers to their rock shows.
So for some reason I thought Thundercat was going to be on the Flying Lotus tour. But that doesn't seem to be the case. Was he supposed to be on the tour at some point or did I just make that up in my head?

I think they had a few show together, but other than that, Thundercat wasn't announced as a part of Flying Lotus tour.

Tonight. I'm actually kind of excited about this because I love me some 3D.

I know that he was originally supposed to open up for FlyLo in Minneapolis, but they've since changed the openers. I'm not sure if this happened on all the dates or just a few though.

Tonight. I'm actually kind of excited about this because I love me some 3D.
So good. The 3D effect was way better than I was anticipating. Some of the visuals stretched 30' out from the stage from my point of view.
Awesome man. The show looks wild on television without 3D, and it looks like it just expands and comes at you. I love 3D, but the only show I ever saw anyone do it at at was Primus at Buku Fest 2013. OTOH, I'll take IMAX or 3D for any movie where it's available. I'm still ducking Bam away from pissing on me from about 7 years ago in Jackass 3D. It's kind of an early show for The Joy. We were there til 5am weekend before last for Manic Focus/Liquid Stranger. But this is like 8:30. I think there are 2 opening acts, and since I have to work tomorrow, I'm hoping this will wrap up around 11:30/12ish. If not, pwnd. Haha.

Do they give 3D glasses as well?
Yep, handed out at the door as you enter the venue. When I walked in, there was no one handing them out. Thankfully I remembered as I walked through, looked around, and found a box sitting on the ground full of glasses. So someone at the venue was fucking around and not handing them out. Thankfully the openers remind the audience a few times to make sure they have their glasses.

It blows my mind that the visual guys for FlyLo are doing everything live. Next time I see him, I'm going to sit back by the soundboard and just watch the VFX team. Shit's wild.
And ya, way better than 3D IMAX and stuff. I'd love to know the tech behind it, because when you take the glasses off, the image doesn't just look slightly out of focus. It was just sorta the same image but 2D.
For the Austin show, doors were 8. Only 2 openers were billed on the website, but pretty sure there were 3. I got there around 10 and caught the 2nd opener (Topic or something? Rapper from Dallas). PBDY came on after that and FlyLo took the stage around 11. Only bummer about the show is FlyLo only played ~70 mins. Heard it was the same in Houston so I'm sure you can expect something similar.
Even though it's a short show, it's still worth it.
FlyLo was dressed as Dave Chappelle as Negan when he was on SNL.

Outrageous. I forgot about Kraftwerk in 3D. This is 2nd to that.

So it ended kind of fucked up. FlyLo couldn’t hear and the preamps were fucked up. Tragic. Joy is one of my favorite concert/party bars, but they failed technologically sound wise. Live Nation bought out booking and production there, so get your shit together. However, my boy who works there said that’s what happens when you don’t sound check. So idk.
On the flip side I got a street team GRiZ flyer that said OPIUO was opening and Muzzy Bear. And that’s at Orpheum so hopefully....

Winter Circle Productions actually does booking for the Joy, but last night's show was not through them. thejeremy works for FESS and he wasn't scheduled due to the fact that it was an outside booking agency.
