They were FUCKING AMAZING at Riot Fest. Of course I was a huge Ministry fan in high school.
i caught the end of their set at this small metal fest last year. it was just Thieves, but thats like saying yeah I went to the museum but all I saw was the Mona Lisa.
I'm in love with this malicious intent
You've been taken out but you don't know it yet
What you will know must never live to be found
Cause it's the subject of the eyes of the clown.
Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. It' s a new world order.

I just served Paul Barker 7 pints of Guinness (2 of which I drank along side him) on Monday and it really made my week. We just talked about the old punk scene in Tampa from the 80's -90's and stories he had of Trent reznor and Marylin Manson. It was amazing

Every day after work I empty out my pockets of change and put the pennies, dimes, and quarters in a small jar on my dresser. I call it my nickel-less jar.

I'm a thirty-year-old person, and I still haven't learned how to be a responsible one.
For the first time, I'm gonna try to go to three shows in-a-row. At the same night. I was challenged by garageland.
The first show is a really early one, Everything Everything at the Gramercy Theatre. Savoir Adore is opening, although not a big fan, I don't mind seeing them as well. That show should be done by 9 PM, where I rush and go to Brooklyn to catch WITTR. They start at 9:20 PM, and I most certainly will not be able to catch the first song, but whatever. And the last one is in Greenpoint, where I will be seeing Leon Vynehall as a part of BEMF. Not sure when he's gonna start, but I assume it's not gonna be before 12 AM.
Oh, I forgot to tell, I'm a little sick at the same time. We'll see how tonight goes.

Can you tell me how one rushes to get to Brooklyn? Going to need to know for December.

I wanted to try this last weekend. We were going to Zola Jesus, Sylvan Esso was right down the street and there was a free Overcoats show at a brewery. Traffic caused us to miss the Overcoats show and then I couldn't convince my wife to try to do both of the other shows. Then I overheard a guy after the show said he was shooting for 4 shows that night. I've done 2 in one night once. I went to a Melvins show and made it in time to see Killer Mike/GZA down the street.

During Northside Fest this summer, I did 3-4 shows in a row, but those were part of the festival, and all the venues were so close to each other. Tonight's a bit different, and there'll be some commute between venues.
By the way, transition from Melvins to Killer Mike/GZA must have been interesting.
Similar for me tonight, Everything Everything to WITTR to Leon Vynehall will be very strange.

I’ve done Ellis Paul and then down the road to Future Islands. And then one night I did a Jewel VH1 Storytellers type show to a big amphitheatre Van Halen show. I think those are my only two shows/one night.

Once I saw Sleep play a club at 12 noon. I went back to that club around 8 pm and saw Caribou. Around 10, I went a few blocks over and saw King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. This was a great live music day. Of course all of this came about because of the Levitation cancellation and I had help getting tickets. There have been many times I've seen multiple shows on the same night in Austin. Some were just regional bands playing early before something else later on at another venue and other times were events like SxSW or FFF Nites. I can't recall accomplishing this feat outside of Austin city limits.
I don't think my lady is going to be into it, but I'm gonna try to convince her to come see Screaming Females with me tonight. I managed to get myself on the list for Chelsea Wolfe in a couple weeks too. Now that I have 3 jobs, I should really buy some tickets to shows before they sell out on me.
And I've never done the multiple show run, as far as I can remember, but I plan on seeing Alex Lahey after I see John Mulaney in December.

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
