The Knoxville show finally got added to their official site. I have such a boner right now.
So in keeping with their tradition of doing things whenever they feel like it, advance tickets got put up today which is 7 days before the show. Of course, I jumped on one so fast. As a reminder, The Pilot Light is this big.
Either /usr/bin/simp or I (probably marc) may not make it out, but it'll be worth it.
Oh man, that is a tiny venue! My initial reaction is that Marc would be the one who wouldn't make it out, but I don't know, I bet he can be squirrely if needed, and writhe his way out.
So soon!! It will be my first time at a new venue where I'll likely be seeing a lot of shows from here on out since Red 7 closed I know it's about half the size of Red 7, but I'm sure it's still larger then that!
That's such a crazy itinerary. Playing Chicago then drive halfway across the country to Knoxville, then back halfway across the country to Austin > New Orleans > Atlanta. I kinda think the tour booker needs to be kicked on that one.

He's quick but he's frail. I, on the other hand, can take a pretty decent beating and still be alright.

The Pilot Light is a super odd place. They get acts that they have no business getting. The weird part about it is that the graphic with the tour dates is from their facebook but their official site doesn't list the Knoxville show.

It is a weird tour schedule, but I think most of them were last minute bookings. They had their FYF, and their Hopscotch date and just tried to book whatever they could in between. I know when the first dates started leaking out, they'd pop up one by one in different cities. Like Dave said, the Austin date isn't on half of the places that list the tour. And it's technically at a different venue now that that one has shut down.
It's a tough road schedule though, no doubt about that!

I dunno, man. We should go next level hipster and get Schlitz.

At first I thought you meant might not make it out - as in to the show, not from the show. I was about to say, don't make me fly to 'Murica and boner-punch you, David. Don't think I wouldn't.

Oh. It's happening. Both of us already bought a ticket. I don't know about him, but I'm too cheap to just let a ticket go to waste.

This is my biggest fear about waiting. Fingers crossed it doesn't sell out for a few weeks. I'm running short on hot dog and beer monies.
I don't think they'll sell out the Orange Peel.
I don't think it will sell out right away, but they might sell it out by the date of the show. Mac DeMarco's show there is sold out and I don't think he is that much bigger of a draw than Deerhunter. I may be wrong though.

Maybe it will sell out. I didn't think Mac would sell out. Deerhunter is probably bigger than Mac.
Mac Demarco is a major flavor of the moment. I saw him at Levitation and did not undertand the hype.
I really enjoyed the first two albums Mac put out. The last two, I haven't been able to get into. His live shows I've experienced have been a good time. It's gotten to the point that if I'm at a fest he is playing, I'll usually skip him for something else.
Got on the guest list for Deathcab for Cutie and Explosions in the Sky this Saturday at Madison Square Garden. Not sure where the tickets are. Either way I love free shows.

Speaking of Death Cab, I have an extra GA East floor ticket for the MSG show on Saturday. Any inforooers looking for a ticket? The ticket cost me $64 after all the fees.

Mad at myself. Saw a pair of Sturgill tickets for next week only for like $47 each, but thought there was a chance I could be going towards Richmond this weekend instead so I waited on it. Tickets are gone this morning.
They just announced a Halloween show of Deer Tick and The Felice Brothers at a new venue in New Haven, CT. If it wasn't for Dead & Company, I'd be there for sure

This is awesome and I'm super excited to see Grimes, finally, but I am pretty bummed her show in Atlanta is the same day as Shamir.
edit: Oh gross, she's playing the Buckhead Theatre... dammit. That's... disappointing.

Yeah I was sad when I saw that, because I plan to be in Florida that weekend. I saw Beach House there a few weeks ago. It's a pretty solid venue with a tiered GA. (Side note: a few of us are planning on Ryan Montbleau there on Friday, October 2nd if you're interested)
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Two days until Sturgill plays The Jefferson! I was planning on going with one of my close friends who lives within a three-minute walk to the venue...dude on craigslist sold his ticket the night before they suppose to meet. He might find one on craigslist over the next two days or scalp one at the venue, but it's not looking good.
This has been the hardest ticket to get for a show at The Jefferson in the last two years.

I love that 99% of tours basically say, "Yeah... Fuck Florida."

Not sure if it's a recent change, but I'm seeing 21 Nov 2015 being in Montreal and the Toronto show being on the 22nd. Probably doesn't affect most people here, but if these dates have changed, maybe others will too.
