So last night we got 3 IR songs, 5 TKOL, and 4 new songs. The rest was old stuff. More Kid A than In Rainbows... WILL Jess admit he was wrong yet?
Lets see one show with new material, and more or less a whole tour that was not like that, will you just admit you have been being a little d!ckhead for six months now? I mean the whole tour except for one show has been exactly what I said. A two hour show that plays most of KOL, and not much old material at all. Too bad they shot their wad before Bonnaroo though, but at least I can sleep through the whole thing now.
Damn dude... You are really really sensitive. It was just a joke, calm the hell down
I will admit I was a little disappointed at first with KoL, but it grew and grew on me. Then I saw the live recordings and continued to follow these live recordings throughout the tour up through Coachella. They're entirely on top of their game with these songs live. Seeing them tonight and I'll report back how it compared to the Coachella Week 1, Austin, Roseland, and Miami.
I'll be the first to admit I'm a fanboy and there's probability of 99.9% I will have nothing but rave reviews for the concert, but I'll do my best to make an honest comparison.
You guys think Radiohead show will be the toughest pit to get into for the whole festival? Want to catch a headliner in the pit with my first choice being Radiohead but would rather not have to get in line Friday morning ....wishful thinking I'm sure.
There is no doubt that they will play some new stuff at Bonnaroo. They did quite a bit of In Rainbows on the farm before it's release.
Of course since the last "new stuff" was TKOL, this is not necessarily a good thing ya know.
I actually love King Of Limbs and the KoL twist they are putting on older songs. I was referring to new, unreleased material they have been playing at some shows.
We should take a moment to appreciate the glorious nature of the 2006 Radiohead show, maybe their longest ever:
1. There There 2. 2+2=5 3. 15 Step 4. Weird Fishes/Arpeggi 5. Exit Music (for a film) 6. Kid A 7. Dollars & Cents 8. Videotape 9. No Surprises 10. Paranoid Android 11. The Gloaming 12. National Anthem 13. Climbing Up The Walls 14. Nude 15. Street Spirit (fade out) 16. The Bends 17. Myxomatosis 18. How To Disappear Completely
E: 19. You And Whose Army? 20. Pyramid Song 21. Like Spinning Plates 22. Fake Plastic Trees 23. Bodysnatchers 24. Lucky 25. Idioteque 26. Karma Police
E2: 27. House of Cards 28. Everything In Its Right Place
Here's what Thom had to say about it on the BBC: "We did this festival called Bonnaroo. We did 2.5 hours. And there's 80,000 people, admittedly they've been smoking the sticky green all day - probably wouldn't go anywhere anyway. It was just amazing. We played loads of new stuff. We did whole sections of quiet piano songs and it sounds like the most grotesque, self-indulgent nonsense, but it probably is my favourite gig for years and years and years."
He remembers how awesome it was (still the best show I've ever seen). They aren't coming back NOT to top it....
I'm sorry everyone is misinterpreting my comments everyone is welcome to make their own decisions obviously. I feel sorry for people who aren't genuinely excited for this show.
It's not my fault people are hurt by words typed on the internet. How is quack any less offensive than fvck when we all know the authors intent?
I dont want to get into a longwinded thing about this, so please dont interpret this as an invitation to try and explain your position. I'm not really interested.

Yes it will, but you won't have to get in line Friday morning. Just get in line about 3 hours prior, and go to the side of the stage with less people.

Then why did you even bother to post this?
to state my opinion for the record and move on. like an adult.
Meeting in the Aisle was a great surprise tonight, totally out of left field. Identikit was as good as I've heard it so far. All the KoL material was spot on including Staircase and Supercollider. Only hiccups were Thom screwing up the words to Paranoid Android in the middle and I think they were still out of sorts about messing up on Idioteque the other night because this was the first show that didn't play it. You and Whose Army blew the audience away, that + Codex + Nude was a dream come true.
Now my Roo setlist wishes are Weird Fishes, Idioteque, Lucky, Everything in It's Right Place, and How to Disappear. They're 100% on top of their game right now and there's no question that it would be a mistake to miss it even if you're not a fan of the last album.

He did that in Newark too, I feel like he has to be doing it on purpose, how do you forget the words to a song you've been singing for 15 years, 2 nights in a row?
Is it the analogue patch bay he uses? Has that not affected any of their other songs or is it only really used on the drum part for Idioteque? I'm not familiar with their live set up aside from a the videos I've watched.

Yeah he uses an AS modular rack to patch the beat for idioteque, I've never seen him use it for any other song. Just like Jonny Greenwood to use a system that costs more than I make in a year for one song.

Very cool set up. Maybe they'll do a different take on the song? It's been a staple for so long it's weird to leave out. From the way the song was in the video from June 1 it seemed like maybe Jonny just messed up, didn't realize it was equipment.
