I really really reallllllly hope you're right! BMSR, Rammstein, SBTRKT, Dethklok, Of Montreal, and it goes on
Plus, let's not forget Aphex Twin, but that I'm just gonna toss out because I'll never get my hopes up that high.
Wants and those that are likely are very different, and I know that. But if I get 1/4 of those artists at 'roo in 2012, I'll be a happy guy. Getting more than that or several of them late night would just be icing on the cake.
Crystal Castles are high on my list of acts I want to see on the lineup.
Crystal Castles were one of my favorite surprise acts in '09. Wandered into a tent, and wound up dancing my face off. I would love to see them make their return, especially with a LN.
I've hated Crystal Castles ever since I saw multiple videos of how "privileged" the lead singer chick acts during her shows. That bitch deserves an ass whooping.

I think that's part of the act, not her personality. I always kinda thought it was cool. I've seen them 3 times and always had a blast. And their first CD is a hell of an album.

Same here and every time I have seen them after, they have been god awful.

Meh, whatever, I just enjoyed the music and the tent was rocking. Great crowd, good music, couldn't ask for much else.

That doesn't sound promising, but I will hope those have been anomalies and the normal show is like the one from 'roo '09.

If her "act" includes spitting and punching spectators, as well as destroying equipment that is not hers, then she needs a new act. I cant lie, I still enjoy the music.

I didn't know about those. But when I saw them at Lolla 09 she was wasted and had a handle of whiskey with her. Her mic was screwed up so I couldn't hear much she said (even though I was like 6 rows away), but I remember her talking about how she was 19 and too young to drink in America. Then she got everyone on the front row to open their mouths and she poured whiskey in their mouths for them and told them she hoped they were underage. As someone who was also underage (and drunk) at the time, I really loved that.
The Crystal Castles 09 roo set was fantastic. I had actually never heard of them before then. I was only at that tent getting a good spot for Girl Talk. By the time Girl Talk came on I was exhausted from dancing my ass off during Crystal Castles. I would love to see them back on the farm.

I've always had an affinity for them because some really nice Canadian dude told me to check them out while we were shooting the shit before Radiohead came on at Lollapalooza (08). He was a really cool dude and had great taste in music. I wish I'd gotten his number/kept in touch. Anyway, I've always kind of associated them with that show.
Also, driving really fast while listening to Black Panther is one of my favorite things to do. Ever.

Crystal Castles' set from '09 was a lot of fun and I was wayyy outside the tent. I haven't had the chance to see them since then so I'd love a return set.
Any of these would really go a long way in getting me back to Manchester:
Massive Attack Portishead Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds Squarepusher Swans Sufjan Stevens
and tons of other shit that would be a bit less likely, like Skinny Puppy, Meat Beat Manifesto, 808 State, The Fall (I just don't see this happening, sadly... it would have already), or one of the many other acts that I just dig, personally.
To be honest, a Swans/Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds late night tent would be the most devastatingly incredible night in the history of Bonnaroo.
I would be very happy if Zac Brown Band played a LN set.
Something like this?
Friday Which: The Roots This: Crystal Castles -> Justice Live That: Umphrey's McGee Other: Madness -> Rancid
Saturday Which: Zac Brown Band This: Skrillex -> Pretty Lights That: The Disco Biscuits -> Mike Gordon Other: Mac Miller -> Black Star
Yeah this is a weak LN IMO. Luckily, with Bisco and Justice being off the market and Pretty Lights doubtful to be there yet again (someone tell AC there are shit tons of electronic acts and dj's out there) I suspect this is nothing like what we will actually see as the LN's.
Some things I really like about that, and some things I really don't like about that... but I could handle doing Massive Attack/Kraftwerk and FlyLo/Slayer.
Great call on the Kraftwerk, but I just don't think Roo is cool enough to book an act like that.
