Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Not sure, this was probably mentioned already. Buuuutttttt Roger Water's supposedly is going out on a Dark Side tour... think there may be a roo stop? Friday late night Dark Side action could be pretty bad ass.
Methinks you're confused. He's doin' another tour of The Wall though.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Really, thats the best we can hope for. I mean come on. Roger Waters? The Cure? Paul McCartney? I'll happily eat my words, but the 2012 headliners aren't going to blow anybody away.

I think we are looking at Foo Fighters, Random band, Phish. I would prefer Steely Dan but I doubt Bonnaroo is cool enough to do that.
Steely Dan cannot headline any major festival. That's just simple fact. But I can definitely see Foo Fighters and Random Band being booked. I can see Foo Fighters being Saturday, but it's the Friday night band that's throwing me off. Between KoL and AF, the last two years have shown that Friday is shifting towards up-and-coming headliners. But who is up-and-coming in 2012?

KoL wasn't really up-and-coming. They had already headlined Lolla the year before. The only trend I think matters for Friday is "modern rock band" and even that isn't a fomula I think they'll stick to religously or anything. Coldplay, Muse, The Killers, Green Day, and Foo Fighters all make sense there.
Of course, if Saturday is Radiohead or RHCP, they likely go for a more "classic" act in that spot, like their attempt to book Prince for Friday and Radiohead for Saturday last year.

Also, I just want to say that everyone in here is completely insane if they don't think we're getting Coldplay as a headliner. It's going to happen, mark my words, so you might as well just accept the idea now and get used to it.
My cousin's wedding song was "Yellow". It was an outdoor wedding, beautiful day out, and as soon as the song started clouds rolled in and it washed out part of the reception. Coldplay nearly ruined my cousins wedding. I will take a nap during their show, if they're at Roo, out of protest (and for basic survival needs, like sleep).

What I saw of Coldplay's set at Glastonbury last year (via Live Stream) was pretty friggin great! I have never been a fan of their music, but they did put on a stellar show.
European invasion, anyone? Coldplay Friday, Radiohead Saturday, Paul McCartney Sunday?
jhamm...I expect better from you. There is no way in hell, heaven, purgatory, middle Earth, whatever that Paul fuckin' McCartney would be given a Sunday slot. None. Not gonna happen. Ever. He would be Saturday without a doubt.
Looks like Rush could be entering the Summer Festival Headliner discussion. Per this Rolling Stone article they are releasing a new album early next year and likely launching a new tour:

LN which or preheadliner might be more likely, but I think rush could definitely headline. I mean... Is arcade fire really significantly bigger than rush?
