Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I am liking the "Conan" thinking, but I think that fact that it calls attention to demise and watershed moment is more linked to his final show - not his first. I know I know this may be a stretch for the first clue (read: ITM hear me out) but wasn't Neil on the end of the show with Conan? Just my 2 pennies. Why would we assume that the new DJ would stick to not giving out big names? Just because DJJD didn't MAY hold no worth with a new giver of the clues!
Beck, Billy Gibbons, Ben Harper
Ben Harper sounds almost feasible.
And he is in that new band with Dhani Harrison, Fistful of Mercy, which connects back to the Beatles breaking up around the time of Apollo 13 or whatever...
DJ Katie should probably post here before it gets too out of control. I would like her first time doing Roo Clues to be successful, but with all the confusion it's looking bleaker and bleaker.
A trip to space, or a trip to the moon. A speckled lad, or the man on the moon with craters and all. The speckled lad's demise, or when the moon gets dark. The Dark Side of the Moon. The Watershed moment, or Roger Waters.
Roger Waters was part of Pink Floyd.
Roger Waters is planning a tour in 2011. Possibly Bonnaroo?
it takes 12+ hours to assemble that stage, I doubt the stage would even fit on What, I doubt he would do it with out the stage, and he is in europe during bonnaroo
only on page 7, don't know if this has been ruled out or mentioned yet, but the foos' debut album also has a song entitled "Wattershed"
i dont think this is the answer, but it makes the most sense of any early guesses.. to me anyway..surprised no one smarter than me has tried to take it further

So NO, its not roger waters
That's true, but that seems like one of the more plausible explanations. Perhaps it's referring to David Gilmore?
Yuri Gagarin was the first man in space but he died (12 April 1961)... seems like we have demise and a watershead moment... in the only picture I see he does not apear to have freckles lol
Clearly then we are talking about the band Ozma, who has a song called "The Flight of Yuri Gagarin"

Just cause I was ignored.
Ok...
Clue #1: A trip to space thwarted by a speckled lad's demise. A watershed moment otherwise.
thwarted 1. To prevent the occurrence, realization, or attainment of.
Meaning it never happened. Apollo 13 happened, and they all returned safely so it was not that sad. Apollo 1 and Challenger are the 2 disasters of the space program.
Speckled lad = Kennedy?
On July 1, 1962, the site was renamed the Launch Operations Center, achieving equal status with other NASA centers; and on November 29, 1963, the facility received its current name by Executive Order 11129 following Kennedy's death.[5]
Something sad at the Kennedy space center is an explosion in the sky...
Who just so happens to start touring in April - May... (holding off the dates)

Hello! I am the REAL katieontheair. So far I have heard of things from Laika, katieofftheair & kateofftheair, none of those are me. I have limited use to the computer right now because I am mid-deejay shift, but I am going to try to be on the boards more often as I am getting used to them this week. Stay tuned, yet ANOTHER clue will drop on Friday!!
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

Maybe you have to be incredibly high for this logic to make sense to you. The same logic is being used to justify foo fighters.

It may take me a little while because, like I said, I've got a radio show to run now and then, but I'll do my best!

I was talking about how she tied the clue to Dark Side of the Moon. I'm pretty sure that the Foo Fighters don't have an album titled Dark Side of the Moon. Do they, jhammett? Do they have an album titled Dark Side of the Moon? No, they don't. I was talking about how her explanation could work for Gilmore because Waters is going to be over seas and it takes so long for his stage to be sat up. Watch yourself, delby's got teeth.
Edit: this troll business is getting fucking annoying. I'm out of here for now, hopefully the mods will bust out the banhammer and clear this place of these annoying shitheads by the time I get back.

Not sure if mentioned, but big boi makes sense from big boy in austin powers movies.
My answer is Big Boi. Here's why:
Big Boy in Austin Powers was launched into space, but no longer launches due to the movies demise. That was in fact a watershed moment. So Big Boy = Big Boi.
