Robert plant & the band of joy--widespread panic doesnt sound like the best way to close out your tenth anniversary, i hate to say it but id take DMB again over widespread panic.....seriously....
I'm not interested in more speculation on a message board, BELIEVE ME, I've read plenty of that over the last few weeks. I was asking if I missed something from insider.
Didn't mean to be rude but, if you look at a few posts it's pretty clear that we're trying to guess the Saturday headliner.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
Does anyone really think they would have Muse be THE Saturday night act with AF on Friday. Seems pretty unlikely to me.
What happened to those statements from last year like "We have more headliners than we could book". If that were really the case, seems like we wouldn't be waiting on a Saturday show to clench the deal for so many people. I understand AF is huge to a lot of people, but it seems like they're stretching to make MMJ a headliner, and if WSP was their backup for Furthur, seems to me like there were never that many people in the dugout.
agree with all of what you're saying. while i'm happy with the line up we have so far.
So maybe the rap/hip-hop headliner is the only other thing we can guess on right now.
i'm thinking so, man. i just wish insider (if she knew) would tell us if the "negotiations" are with the stones. after that i'm good till after the line up comes out. i got my guesses.
Also remember that when she said that, she was referring to all 6 as "headliners". She then changed it to "prime time" spots.
So it could be the Hip-hop "headliner" that they are still negotiating with....

Damn I'm gonna be standing in the same spot for like, at least 8 hours if its Arcade Fire > MMJ both on What Stage. What a beautiful night that would be.
Friday Headliner/Friday What LN: Arcade Fire>My Morning Jacket Saturday Headliner/Saturday What LN: R.E.M.>Kanye West Sunday Pre-Headliner/Sunday Headliner: Robert Plant & The Band of Joy>Widespread Panic
R.E.M. * Kanye West * Widespread Panic * Arcade Fire * Robert Plant and The Band of Joy * My Morning Jacket
there is no REM. nodepression called their management...or someone affiliated and confirmed they're not scheduled for roo.
just like metallica's management denied it in 2008. that means nothing.
Just nothing special-very mediocre, especially after all the hype about his great light/glow stick show (he had NO lights, glow sticks, etc.). He was not engaging with the crowd AT ALL (didn't say "Hey bonnaroo" "goodnight" nothing...after being 3 hours late)...sounded okay but just not much energy. I had just walked over from Ghostland Observatory, which was arguably the best show of the weekend and the energy in that tent could have made the Heaves open up.
Not to go off topic but the name of his current production was the "Glow In The Dark" tour. It wasn't meant to be a literal interpretation, it instead had to do with the storyline of the show. He didn't interact with ANY crowds on that entire tour. It was meant as a performance art type piece, it was just lost among most people who saw it.
Huh. Who'd a thunk. Kept hearing he had to do his show late to ensure darkness b/c of his awesome glow-in-the-dark whatever but I guess that was just hearsay. Regardless, he was much like the Police-sounded okay but no energy and not engaging.

i can't keep the "depreshawn" "depression" "depreshion" 's straight, but i think it definitely means a little more than "nothing".
no, it definitely means nothing at all. whether they're booked or not, the management is going to keep it under locks until the lineup is officially announced.
First, after looking through all 28 of her posts, I didn't see anything about Saturday at all. Did she mention something that I missed?
She gave us the 4 out of 6 acts that she was talking about.
2 of those acts are on Friday
2 of those acts are on Sunday
The other 2 (Saturday) have not been mentioned yet but she did explain that they are still securing one big act so that's probably the Saturday headliner.
Second, when she talks about 2 prime time acts each day, is she referring to What HL and Which HL or What PreHL and What HL?
She's just referring to prime time slots. No specifics about stages and stuff. She did say that Robert Plant would play before Widespread so there's that.

Dude got his playing time moved and still could not be bothered to make it on stage. Anybody that wants another round of Kanye West's diva act just because he's famous/hip/whatever-reason-youre-told-you like-someone is, frankly, bitchmade.
A year after Jay-Z, we're saying the big hip-hop name for the 10th Anniversary will be Black Star? I like them and all, but that's some kind of disappointing. I mentioned Watch the Throne about a month ago and it was balked at, but I've seen quite a few people mention it, just today.

Haha man I didn't realize I was being brainwashed so thoroughly. Thanks for opening my eyes dude. "Bitchmade" no more!
