Coachella doesn't have late nights and has shorter set lengths. Only way I would go is if the headliners out there were to die for. Anyways, are we positive the Saturday headliner is still in the works? How can the main act at the festival still not be signed and not be huge? It would have to be The Stones.
Robyn -> The Strokes would be absolutely amazing. Maybe the best ending to a Sunday I've seen at 'Roo in a long long time.
what about andrew bird followed by band of horses? or ween followed by phoenix? and oh yeah, there was also decemberists followed by white stripes in 07.
I'll give you Decemberists into White Stripes, but those others are debatable.
Why is everyone thinking BEP?? roo knows they aren't good and knows that nobody who comes to roo cares about them. They would never mess up a 10th anniversary (or any other year) with something like that, definatly not in a prime spot either.
and niki minaj??? really? she cant even speak right.

I wonder how well she is able to spell and use proper grammar though?

I'm surprised at all the panic hate, i have never listened to em, but i thought any jam band got a lotta love on these boards.
Nothing and no one gets love on these boards, unfortunately. Lots of haters, I'm sure you'll come to notice. However, I'm fine with Panic. They're great live. WAAAAAAAAAAAY better than Kayne, whom everyone is wanting back for some reason...obviously they missed his boring ass 2008 show.

All we need is a post from insider, even if she told one of the two. I know earlier on it was said that one headliner is still in negotiation, so just give us the other band/artist then.

so basically the only acts up high we're missing is Saturday headliner and the late night hiphop headliner.
Neil -> hip-hop headliner doesn't make a bit of sense. so let's just rule out neil for a second. a younger act/popular act or a 90's rock act would make sense.
i'm saying REM, Muse, or John Mayer. REM would fill the surprise slot that BD talked about if that is indeed true. for the hip-hop i'm going to say Eminem bc that's the only act I think is a realistic.

R.E.M just doesn't settle well with me. Sure, they are rock legends and would fit the Saturday headliner trend, but does anybody really expect them to be the top billed act on the 10th year? Come on people. I know we were told to lower our expectations, but if the act still isn't signed, maybe there is the potential for huge.

But if this is the only show R.E.M. does, then it's a bigger "get" than if they were touring.
