The same things you have to worry about in a city. Bonnaroo is a microcosm. There are tons of good people and some bad ones. Just look out for sketchballs. Keep your wits about you. No biggie.
Is there anything special I need to look out for/avoid? My parents are a little worried about my safety...
If you're going with friends, numbers is the best security at your campsite. You can tell your folks that Bonnaroo has its own private security force (the Mounties) that patrol the campgrounds 24\7. Within Centeroo you should be fine.
Like someone else said, if you decide to drink or have some corn, keep your wits about you. Other than that, you should be fine...
Oh, yeah, and watch out for those damn catfish. They just about ruined my trip in '05.
Buy a CD in the record store of an artist u saw, they are not crazy prices($9) and it's great keepsake... all your 'Roo feelings will come rushing back when reaching for that CD =)

I almost forgot...BRING SHARPIES!!!!!
You never know what famous person or act you may run into on the farm. My personal faves are the Sharpie Metallic Silver ones that write on pretty much anything, even dark/black items and it looks so cool!!!!

Hey OP, I'm in the same boat as you are! (Except I have yet to convince any of my friends to accompany me to Roo ) I'm graduating this year and my graduation present will be getting my butt to Bonnaroo after two years of pining. Also trying to not spend alllll of my money before I go off to college. Looking forward to spending the next several months on Inforoo and seeing y'all on the farm! (;

I grew up worshipping Rock and Roll like a religion. I know its shortcomings and strengths but have loved it unconditionally all the same since I was eight-years old. I ran away and joined the circus and honestly, I'm still as obsessed as I was as a boy. I'm not a kid anymore but I still remember how it felt and it doesn't really feel all that different to me now.
