Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo in 2013!!
If MMJ are confirmed in an artist addition, then all will be forgiven and you can count on me being back on the farm. If not, well then, I guess I won't be making it five years in a row like I had always dreamed. It's not that I'm disappointed with the line up, it just left me feeling underwhelmed. There were no bands like previous years that had me thinking, "I HAVE TO BE THERE FOR THAT!!" (Flaming Lips doing DSOTM certainly does come close though), and it pains me to say this, but Coachella really did a number on Bonnaroo this year. I thought Bonnaroo was the leader in North American Festivals, not the follower. I mean, are we really going to be sharing a headliner? (No knock to Jiggaman, I know he's gonna bring it). I'm not gonna diss Roo though, cuz it literally is the greatest weekend money can buy, but when money's as tight as it is these days, I don't think I can get on board this year. I'm going to reserve judgement until I see the additions, but at this point in time, all I can really say is......... meh.

I never understand people comparing lineups as if it is a fact that one is better than the others. it all depends on the person you're asking and what they music they like.
It's a good start...but I think we will see some of the more amazing adds in the weeks to come. I just can't believe that this is the "Big Bang" for Roo after the previous years and knowing what a kick ass lineup Jazz Fest has....and likely what a stellar lineup Lolly is gonna have. I have faith that there are at least a half dozen to a dozen more REALLY GREAT adds to come in the next month or less.....I think they are just building up the excitement! At least that's the hope I am holding on to...I haven't reached my WoW factor just yet. Lots of bands I'd like to see (or see again!) but nothing to make me jump up and say "WoW! I just HAVE to see them this year!! Which is sad for me

very true. while some might disagree, i think it is fair to say that Inforoosters have a somewhat similar music tastes or that they at least have many constant overlapping favorite artists. so i guess it might be expected to see a lot of negativity on the board right now. however, if you do a live twitter search for bonnaroo you will find many people ecstatic about this year's line up. one man's trash is another mans treasure.

There is something very wrong with the world if KOL is billed second, before Stevie or Jay-Z. IMO, they should be just before Phoenix. Yes, something is wrong.

-major lulz at anyone that followed this all day.
-acl 09 called, they want their lineup back.
-gwar= god what awful racket
-they might be giants= late night set featuring frankie muniz, for ser
-i hope all you people that love to boast the eclectic lineup are happy. the genre that built this festival is represented by two bands, lotus and bisco. dont tell me dmb is a jam band, theyre not.
-wakarusa shizs on this lineup and is half the price. the number of big names on here is not relevant. compare the lineups AND the price.
My brother, who is neither a big fan of festivals or of this year's announced bands, is a BIG fan of Jay Z, and said that he would initially go if Jigga was playing. Upon showing him the finalized line-up (and explaining to him my total disappointment), he said:
"Well, dude, times are rough right now. They will probably just wait until they can make more $$$ off of a single ticket before they announce the big draws."
I considered this for a moment, and then thought that, perhaps, he was right.
In the years past, the majority of artists that were announced as additions were second-tier. We have very rarely gotten a Prince or Madonna at the last moment.
I can only hope that this year will be one of those years. I will absolutely NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT spending a LOT of money on KOL or DMB! Period.
The undercards ain't that bad, but Bonnaroo, you really should have given us more than you did. Very discouraging & disheartening!
"All in all, the creative act is not performed by the artist alone.. the spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualifications and thus adds his contribution to the creative act." -- Marcel Duchamp
Arcade Fire Spoon Neil Young Pavement Thom Yorke/Radiohead Muse MMJ Broken Social Scene or The New Pornographers --any cool or upcoming band...where's Surfer Blood or a repeat Yeasayer or MGMT who all have albums out. HELLO?
Weezer, DMB, Blues Traveler, KOL....gaaaaaaaayyyyyy
I totally agree with you. I have been silently praying to the 'Roo gods to just PLEASE, PLEASE let Arcade Fire, MMJ, Broken Social Scene, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (haven't heard anything at all from them in a LONG while, and it pisses me off!), The Shins (yeah, it was a long shot, but I would give anything to see them at Bonnaroo), & what ever happened with Paul Simon?? Forgive me for not being completely up to date in these past few days, but I guess I just assumed he was going to be there for sure... right?!
Ahh, I don't know... I don't want to sound like a dbag, but I used to be a really big fan of KOL (their performance in 2007 had me goin' buck wild in the audience) until their newest album came out and the radio completely f-ed it up for me. I can honestly say that if I have to listen to "Use Somebody" ONE MORE TIME, I will go completely insane.

well its a good thing waka still has tickets left so you can go.
And clearly you aren't a rapist (I hope) but the way you pop into any thread where a woman happens to be lamenting her lack of ride to Bonnaroo and tell them to come hop on your bus sounds extremely rapey.
fwiw CoS just updated and STILL has Neil Young on their "expected" list. I think if they add 80% of their expected list + Neil Young no one will have anything to biznatch about.
April 12-14th - Indio, CA - Coachella Weekend 1
May 3-5th - Memphis, TN - Beale St. Music Festival
June 13-16th - Manchester, TN - Bonnaroo
July 12-14th - Louisville, KY - Forecastle Festival
August 2-4th - Chicago, IL - Lollapalooza
September 27-29th - Atlanta, GA - TomorrowWorld
October 25-27th - Asheville, NC - Mountain Oasis

I love 10 of the bands, and like about 15, so to me this lineup is awesome. I love it. It doesn't have any big, huge, must sees that I've never seen like the past few years which stinks. I love seeing legends or huge acts that I wouldn't otherwise see. Hopefully they will add a wow factor. But I do like the lineup.
im solidly happy with the undercard this year, lots of shows i want to see. i am very shocked, however, at the 'headliners'. i truly believe that there are still some surprises
god i hope so...headliner wise. I am pleased with the undercard but how far up some of those on the top line are is just killing me. I can't believe it.
^ Dittto, and double-ditt. Since first time there ('06/Radiohead), I never thought I'd consider NOT going back -- and I'm still not. I'd just hate to think that the "undercard" would be the primary draw for me in any given year.
Real-good undercard, though. Now we just need an Arcade Fire, Thom Yorke, or maybe last-second Gorillaz boost. (Perhaps, lords forbid all, a Gilmour/Waters peace accord?)
Feels a little like AC/SF jerked around its loyal-est this year, what with delayed announcement date and then dubious "reveal" theatrics. I'm hopeful they're holding things yet to please us.
EDIT: Jigga's set will almost certainly be a throw-down for the ages, though. Like '06 Radiohead. Or '08 MMJ rain show. So, we've got that going for us.

I see alot of ya'll already talking about a future headliner addition. I learned the hard way last year after getting my hopes way up that...THERE ARE NO HEADLINER ADDITIONS. Unless a big act drops out (ABB 08), we are not getting another top act. We will get one MAYBE two big undercards in the additions. The rest will be smaller bands.
Im not sure why everyone is so mad about how the lineup was revealed. Its not like you had to sit there and watch it the whole time(I did, but I was also snowed in the house with nothing to do). I give them props for trying something different and you have to admit it made the anticipation much greater whether you were disappointed at the end or not.
And clearly you aren't a rapist (I hope) but the way you pop into any thread where a woman happens to be lamenting her lack of ride to Bonnaroo and tell them to come hop on your bus sounds extremely rapey.
no problem buddy, who knows, could be a coincidence but I am hopeful
i'll be there anyways so no sweat here but a couple more big names will be great. I just thought the 2/11 would gie people hope, but if they don't like it then hell more room for me.....
