Sounds like it. But it is his band (Coral Reefer Band), he'll be coming out, probably play along and say a few words here and there, probably sing a couple of songs from his stuff.
I do not know how much he will play. He just said "Are you looking forward to JB?" and my friend said "no" so he did not elaborate. My friend did not know there was a rumor (or even what inforoo is). I really think it is a safe bet.

I hope JB does show up, so everyone flocks over there once word gets out...more room for me over at the SteelDrivers!
Also my hope. Then I'm gonna need everyone to go ahead and clear away from Which after JB in a quick and organized fashion so I can get a good spot for Heartless B@stards. I need to be close so I can make Erika Wennerstrom my girlfriend for the summer.
I am guessingnot a lot of crossover fans in that crowd.
Eh...I don't know. The way Buffett's been going the past 5 years or so, he's fairly "country." So are the SteelDrivers.
I have to confess I made an assumption knowing you like Mastodon, that the steeldrivers were a loud rock, or metal band. My bad, I actually know you like a wide range of tunes.
I've seen Buffet twice. And I told myself that I would never do it again. And just as others stated earlier, it is because tthe songs that I REALLY wanted to hear, he won't/doesn't play. Roo would be a perfect oppotunity to break those songs out...

I'm just going to say again that you all should be at the Alejandro Escovedo show while all this Buffet drama is going on. He'll play Cheesburger and hand it over to Ilo.
Jimmy Buffett will be appearing at the Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, TN on Saturday June 13th around 12 noon (not a full Buffett show). He will be joining Ilo Ferreira and the Coral Reefer All-Stars which will include Nadirah Shakoor and Mac McAnally. Tickets are available at BonnarooTickets.com (thanks to Marty for passing that along to us).

Well I for one was really looking forward to the Steeldrivers, I thought they sounded like some really good country/bluegrass. But when all this Buffett news popped up, I immediately forgot about them. So I am sort of a 'crossover fan' in the sense that I was just getting into the steeldrivers, but was a fan of Buffett for 15 years probably. And I'm only 21...I can remember listening to Jimmy Buffett with my dad going on roadtrips, just hangin at the house etc etc....so Jimmy has always held a special place in my heart.
Did anyone make the show how was it? There were a lot of other reasons for not attending Roo this year and Jimmy wouldn't have changed my mind, it just made not being there that much tougher.

Just about everything he played could be found on Songs you Know by Heart. I had a blast, and it looked like everyone there had a great time. I'd love to see him come back for a full evening set.
Everyone around me seemed to be having a great time during this. I wouldn't really want to see him ever take a headlining spot, but I really enjoyed his mini set.

The Buffett set was a pleasant surprise. I don't see him taking a headline spot either but I wouldn't rule out a longer afternoon slot some year. The crowd at the Which stage was obviously having a great time!
