^^Just search for the bars that don't have Fox News on their tvs
funny you say that - at the club called "the middle east" in cambridge, ma - probably the most liberal place in the entire state - they had fox news on. i was thinking it was the equivalent of an ironic trucker hat... very odd choice. later on, they had switched it to indecision 2008
I've been watching a little Fox tonight. It's fun to watch them struggle to hold back the tears. ;D
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
I am setting hear crying like a big sap over Obama winning. What a historic moments. My daughters and I watched the results all night. Bella made it until 10 Amane until 11 PM. They are so glad that Obama won. They always talk how “Barrack is biracial like me.” I have taken them to see him speak and have given them stickers. I hope they look at this day and remember of how they can be president and have a realistic known dream of being able to. Amane announced her run for student counsel during tonight’s events. So get ready she has been inspired by a great man. I am proud today. It is neat to see the people of Kenya celebrate this also. Today we took a huge step forward.
Oh yeah…..AMANE 4 Student Counsel…
Izabella just wants to be the first princess of the US…

so I'm going to be going through the city and I'm going to grab a big stack of the Chicago Tribune. If you want a front page PM me and I'll do my best to get a bunch. ;D
EDIT: No Tribunes left this AM. So I grabbed a few Sun-Times.
There was partying in the streets here in Madison. I stepped on the porch for a cig not too long after the race was called, and heard fireworks going off in three different directions. There was partying in the streets, too, but I took a pass on that. I slept three hours Monday night - I was like a kid on Christmas Eve - and worked all day, then popped my "Obama victory" champagne when it became evident to me unreported states would put him over the top. I'm quite hungover today, but still feel pretty damn good.
I need to get out and about to judge the mood around here. There are no widespread celebrations. Collier County voted 2-1 for McCain. Some people are pretty upset around here. Not me, of course.

The second I saw VA turn blue I think I bought everyone around me a shot of victory last night at the bar.
victory being the cheapest liquor they had....
This is just still so surreal the next day. And eff the McCain supporters that booed Obama immediately upon McCain offering his congrats. Once again, McCain shows that he has more class than his supporters.
My wife and I were dancing and drinking champagne last night. I'm so happy today! I have renewed faith in my country again. Also, I'm thrilled that I once again live in a blue state!

OOOOOOOOOBAMA!!!!!!!! ;D
That has to be exciting. I havent felt this pride from our country since 2001
I was at the bar last night in one of the bluest pockets of Alabama. When they announced the win, the atmosphere was absolutely ELECTRIC. They played Queen's "We Are the Champions", people hugged, cried, danced and cheered. Then we did a conga line around the parking lot with a cardboard cutout of Obama.
Also, MTV2 filmed the bar? So if you see me on TV, give me a shoutout
After watching both Obama and McCain's speeches I cannot even say how moved I was. This is huge moment in history and brings a lot of hope for our generation as well as those who will come after us. I am so happy right now! ;D
