Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'm not critical of the intentions of the arrival poll, but strictly in regard to logistics and peoples planning, can we trust that the poll accurately represents the popular opinion of Joe Roo? I'm willing to say the average inforoo'er is generally more in the know than the majority of the folks going down (in good credit to inforoo). GO WITH IT????
The Arrival Poll is a scientific tool, that is 100% accurate, and completely trustworthy. Gallop's got nothing on the Arrival Poll. But to answer your question, it's probably a good indicator of the larger majority, generally speaking, for the most part. Why? R U still trying to decide when to arrive?
Good points jonny - I would think that the average bonnaroo-goer may be arriving later, if anything - during the day Thurs or Thurs night. May even be more Fridays in the regular crowd.
PEpole willl be arriving all night Thursday and you will stilll see a line until Friday afternoon. Most people cannot take Wed off of work so 12 noon Thurs - 12 noon Friday it is pretty stady incoming traffic.
Thusday is the day where the majority of people arrive. maybe 15% show up wednesday and 15% friday. The other 70% arrive on thursday. I just made those numbers up, so they aren't very accurate. but it's an educated guess based on what I've seen over the last 4 years.

You have to remember, that the majority of the people who take the time to register and post on this forum and in that particular thread are probably die hard Bonnarooers and are planning to arrive as early as their schedule possibly allows.
I, on the other hand, know a few other people from around my home who are planning on leaving Detroit Thursday afternoon and don't really care when they arrive as long as they get to see Radiohead... so I am sure that they are not the only ones with that type of attitude.
I made my estimation base on the open space left when we arrived the last three years. We always pull up aroun 4-5p on Thursday and the lots are still quite empty... Wake up Friday morning surrounded on all sides by the Wookie throngs. Give people doobs while they wait in their cars on FRiday.
The folks who enter from the back, bushy branch road I think, get stuck way in the back. Happend to me in 2003.
Not true, we came right off the Interstate last year, early in the morning on Thursday. We were placed back in BFE. It's pretty much what drove us to getting an RV this year. At least we know we'll be camping in one of the three RV areas. No BFE for us!
From all the stories I've read on here over the past couple of years, you could potentially end up in BFE just about anytime you arrive, so don't stress on trying to arrive in some magic window of time!

I'll bet ambientjive is referring to the "other BFE" that is the farthest North East corner of the Bonnaroo camping. The BFE that you were in was off the road by the main stage area, not Bushy Branch Rd.

;D
I kinda want to be in BFE - truthfully - I don't mind the walk at all and from my understanding - the farmer back there takes his fence down on Monday and for $10 you drive across his field and hit the highway in about 5 min. - so no line going in - no line going out - it is all good!

I love all these people who fret about "waiting in line for hours" and therefore show up wicked late/early either Wednesday PM or Thursday AM - they always get stuck way the eff out there. I've been arriving around the same time, every year, right in the middle of the day on Thursday, and I've never been in traffic more than 2 hours and I've never been more than a 10 minute walk to Centeroo.
Keep showing up early folks - you're just helping the rest of us out!
