Should of seen what my gf listened to mostly before hand. She been learning a lot from being around me. I dunno what she does while I'm not with her, but she don't complain much while I listen to stuff. Except bluegrass, like Trampled by Turtles for example.

I took her to see Umphrey's McGee on date 5. Moe. a few weeks later. Shpongle last month. And looking forward to Newport Folk and Gentlemen of the Road.

Two tips...
1. Always drive
2. Hold to "driver's choice" rule. If she asks to change, ask what she wants to hear and then ok or deny.

And well, hopefully you can teach her some good stuff. People shouldn't live on Bud Light and Lil Wayne.

I seriously don't wanna work tomorrow night. Would rather spend the day gettin' last minute things takin' care of earlier instead of after work!

I think I got a cold and bronchitis up on the mountain this weekend. Ugh... hurts to cough.

I got a call from one of my best friends this morning (who I never get to talk to) which I thought was going to be a Yay! at first, but as it turns out, one of her other really close friends passed away last night. I knew him through her, and we volunteered at the same American Cancer Society summer camp for 4 years back when I was in college. I knew he had been having some health problems, but I just saw him last month at the Clutch show in Chattanooga, and he certainly did not look like a guy who had a month left. He was cracking jokes and seemed like the same guy from when I first met him. Apparently, he went into the hospital Friday night. His kidneys shut down. He went into a coma, and his family made the decision to end life support last night. This is the second person I have known who has died in the last week. Both of them were in their 30s. Along with Abra's post above, this had made me think a bunch about perspective today and how things that are inconsequential aren't something to stress over just because everything is going good. I was stressing like hell because I couldn't find a pair of shorts last night which is silly especially when someone's family was making that decision on their loved one's life right then.

My granny is really sick. My mom went down to Savannah last week to pick her up to bring her back to TN to visit for awhile. While I was at Roo I got a call from my mom saying that my granny was at the hospital with really congested lungs. She had a long battle with TB and was finally declared in remission about a year ago. They did a procedure Monday to flush her lungs out and then yesterday she was rushed to the hospital. She is hospitalized now with pneumonia. They said her heart, lungs, and kidneys are weak and the prognosis isn't good. Please send any spare good vibes you have left over from Bonnaroo. My granny is a true matriarch in every sense of the word and my family will be broken when we lose her.
