Ok...I am so damn scared now. I got 2 tickets on ebay for $380 and it has been 9 days and they have not arrived. I am trying to get my money back from paypal but that will not happen (even if it happens) untill well after the show.
I am wondering if there are usually scalpers at bonnaroo selling tickets. If so how cheap can they go? I have heard they go as low as $50. How many of you vets have witnissed this?
Also, if I were to go down without a ticket and had no luck finding one. As a last resort could I buy a ticket full price at the gate?
Thanks guys...and if anyone has an extra ticket laying around let me know! : )
I baught and payed for them on June 1. It was supposively sent in first class mail which is 2 - 5 days shipping. She lives in North Carolina and I live in Indiana...so it should have been on the quick side.
In '04 hunting tickets was like hunting for sasquatch in Manchester. People ahd better luck with commando tactics than purchasing a ticket for a reasonable price. Last year I still had a MILLION people ask if we had tickets on the way in... not like a scalper says "Got tickets?" but kids who needed them.
I would do EVERYTHING you can to have a ticket before you get to Manchester.
Also, have you contacted the seller? No responses?
I have contacted her, she claims to have sent it out monday. I replied telling her ill give her 2 more days or I will demand a refund. I really hope she hasn't scammed me. What does the post office do if they lose a piece of mail?
If she is still answering you she probably did send them...
I agree, I got scammed once on ebay and the seller never returned my emails...I'd be impatient if I were you too, but I bet you'll be receiving them before it's time to leave.
I work for a law firm in Knoxville (TN), let me know if any of my fellow roosters need any help. Luckily, I work for a VERY liberal firm, though we specialize in non-roo type areas... aka no defense law, etc... but if you ever have any med-mal or prod-liability let me know!
Btw, I'm only the computer girl... don't judge me as you would a lawyer.
I'll echo the fact that if the person responded to you, they probably are not scamming you. The ebay scammers usually just cut and run.
Be patient, just because she put it in the mail on Monday, doesn't mean it really went out on Monday. It could very easily show up on Saturday or even Monday.

i'd say wait till monday, then, if possible, try and have someone in a bigger city check craigslist for some tickets (I assume there isn't really a very large craigslist community in indiana, but i'm also an east coast big city bigot so what do i know). These days I am avoiding ebay/paypal at all costs because they have screwed me out of too much crap for me to want to do anything for them.

In '04 I was the only one out of my group of friends to have a ticket, we had to find 5 tickets it took about 2-3 hours but we found em and last year we needed 3 and we got them on the ride into the campgrounds. So if you really want to,you can go without a ticket but it may take a while to find one but if you only need one it shouldn't be that hard.

In '04 we got them from 3 different people and my friends split the price. I think it was about $150-160 each and last year actually the 3 my friends bought for were for 150 a piece. They turned out to be fake, though. But the people at the gates were still nice enough to let them in anyway.

Dude buy your tickets before you leave. I've been the past two years and you won't find many tickets for sale, and if you do they'll be jacked up. There are always finger-waggers walking along traffic, don't be one.

first thing....if the seller doesn't have a tracking # and something they sell cost over i think $150 or $200 total and you dispute the charge thru paypal you will win the dispute regardless if u recieve them or not but it will take 7-10 for you to get your money back but if the seller has already taken the money out of there paypal account then you could possibly get screwed...BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY DISPUTE IT AS NON-RECIEVED RIGHT AWAY...and if you get the tickets you can always close the dispute
second...i had three extra tickets last year and yes i sold them for between $140-150 and there were like 40 people that were looking for tickets but didn't want to pay that much...now say that i'm greedy or what but i paid more for the tickets and was just tryin to recoup some of my money....and even tho something is sold out if you get there early enough you will find tickets...also i don't really think bonnaroo is gonna sell out this year...it was sold out weeks before lastyears bonnaroo
if you need anything else feel free to contact me gitz13@hotmail.com i have been using ebay for a while and i know most of the inns and outs of ebay...i also know the inns and outs of paypal...i can probably assist you in gettin tickets for a decent price and i guarantee it will be cheaper than what you paid for htem...and yes i think people are right about getting tickets before going down there unless you plan on getting there at like 1am thursday to make sure you talk to eveyrone that's got tickets
