So not sure how many of you have I Love you Honeybear on vinyl, but my copy from Vinyl Me, Please came with a Josh Tillman cocktail - The I Love You Honeybear + Oblivion cocktail:
Ingredients 1 glass of water 1 piece of paper 1 roll of scotch tape 1 pen A window
Preparation Pour water into a glass. Next, using your pen, write the word "oblivion" on the piece of paper. Tape the piece of paper to the glass of water. Leave the glass of water by the window for 12 hours. (Do not drink any water in this time frame. Only alcohol). Consume water greedily and with no regard in total darkness.

1. box of rain - grateful dead 2. this must be the place - talking heads 3. steam engine - my morning jacket 4. at least that's what you said - wilco 5. the national anthem - radiohead
You know….as much as I hate on my city….and as much as I hate the cold….it really is the city of brotherly(sister) love. I was leaving the corner store just now to walk home and this chick who I was sharing jokes with inside saw me walking out of the parking lot and then drove me home.

It's 5:50 AM. I'm sitting here in a Thai airport getting drunk(er). About to go spend a week in a place that Anthony Bourdain hails as his favorite location in the world, and then I'll return to my idyllic tropical home. Just wanna say I'm incredibly blessed for how amazing the past year of my life has been. Whenever I was in university and was telling everybody I was gonna move abroad and teach and travel I honestly didn't believe it would ever actually happen for me. It was just a pipe dream. Even after I booked my ticket I still assumed it would all fall through.
So kids. You can achieve your dreams if you actually work toward it and don't give up. And hug your mother. Every day. My mom honestly is the one who has made everything I've done possible, in one way or another.
edit: and by 'getting drunker' I mean I was already drunk when I arrived, and I'm now 3 more cocktails deep. gonna be a fun flight. And a shitty arrival.

To hell with it. I'm toeing the line between being hungover and still drunk anyway, so I may as well choose the latter. I'm gonna finish this album, chug a glass of water, go for a run, come home, chug another glass of water or three, fill my body up with gin and music, then enjoy the reality that there is no aspect of responsibility which I need to participate in today.
