Seriously, you'll be able to tell by taste. If you think it's skunky, take another taste. If it's still there (skunk taste), go buy more.
Problem that I was having was that I'd never tried this apple wheat beer before. Nor have I ever encountered a skunked beer. So I wasn't sure if I would know what a skunked apple wheat beer would taste like.
Last night camping in SD, I decided I wanted a beer or two around the camp fire before bed. Hubs returned with a soccer of something called Moose Drool. Bellerive it or not for the price that was some pretty tasty stuff.
