St. Paul & Broken Bones killed it tonight in Houston. Work will be terrible tomorrow morning. Well worth it though.
Ahhhhhh. The show here was amazing too. I work 3rd shift so I didn't have to get up early or anything, but it was still rough getting to class at 2pm..... Great great time!!!
Ughhh.... i made the mistake of starting to drink early, stopping, then drinking again. Now I have a headache from hell... ibuprofen & bed here i come.
We were playing pool with some people and they tried to recruit us to join their commune.
The only way to counter that is to recruit them into your commune. Y'know, the one where a couple hundred people gather in a field a week before the summer solstice to drink special Kool-Aid and listen to satanic music.
Friday was one of the most ridiculous nights I've had in ages. After dinner and drinksat an izakaya, my cousin and I headed into Darlinghurst to see Art Vs. Science, who were absurdly fun, as was their opener (Kilter). The new material is awesome, and they certainly brought their A+++ game for a sold-out hometown show. Then we met up with some friends and went barhopping, which involved an ill-fated venture to the inner suburbs after this bullshit 3am closing time in the city. We finally got home at sunrise and made ourselves some cheese and tomato toasties and tea. I passed out, woke up about two hours later and remembered, oh yeah, I had that Parmesan space biscuit before bed, didn't I? FACK!
Also, pies are pretty much the greatest drunk food in history - even more than kebabs, which I know is borderline sacrilegious. Americans just don't know what they're missing out on. I may have to attend my next Bonnaroo as a Shakedown food vendor to spread the gospel.

Our friend told then he works in pharmaceuticals. They got real quiet real fast.

I wrote a poem. Well, spoke it into that voice memo thingy on my phone. I don't remember doing it (according to the time-stamp it was somewhere around 3am last Sunday) but I like it! I called it werewolves.
Werewolves By Drunken Monkybunney The full moon is a $2 beer on tap. The full moon is a Mai Tai on a Bar-B-Q afternoon. When the full moon rises in the sky you just say "I'll have a couple" And when the transformation takes place you don't feel surprised. The next morning you don't remember anything but there is a very real sense of regret. You changed into something and had no control over yourself. You know it will happen again. And when it does it won't be a surprise.
I'm both a bit terrified and excited by the fact that I can work voice memo in a stupor. I promise if I'm ever hanging out with any of y'all I'll tell you if I'm recording!

I had a roommate that would voice record a lot of our group interactions. It was mostly when we were drinking and had people over. He wouldn't tell anyone he was recording, either. He'd just record and then start playing it back randomly until someone noticed.
So last night I fell asleep watching tv on the couch. The odd part is that when I woke up this morning I was hugging my iPad with one hand and still holding my half full beer in the other. My back is so sore now because I probably didnt move once all night.
Also, my morning breath is especially bad this morning for some reason.

I blame it on you drinking Bud Light.
I solemnly swear to branch out when I go out tonight. But for now, no shame in my BL game.
I don't want to comment because I was the last person to and this is a double post. But in drink. So drunk. Oh so drunk.
Did you branch out as promised?
I drank some columbus summer time teeth lager and it wasn't bad. I saw lots of boobs. To many boobs. Like I motor boated someone. Oops. I think the beer was good though. If that counts for anything.
