Weird, I can't find the thread either.
Glowstick wars pretty much happen at anytime, it's up to the people who bring in a bunch of glow sticks and throw them in to the air for everyone else. I'm not sure where'd you see it, if Oysterhead was at night you might see one there. I think it would be cool to get a glowstick war during Radiohead because I bet it's never happened. Otherwise, I would guess that a glowstick "war" will come during UM/Bisco, MMJ, or the superjam (if it's cool enough).
I found the orginal thread it's on page 9, but it broke down into a discussion of glowsticks war past. I figure Radiohead is the best bet right now, maybe a little tortilla war during Oysterhead would be in order though.

the thing of it is that, there are glowsticks and they are flying all over the place, you have be on your gaurd and still groving, no one likes to get hit in the head unannouced

wow 38 is a lot. this is a dumb question, but, do they hurt? that'd bother me a bit if i was getting nailed in the head 38 times at random while just trying to enjoy a show.

some more than others... it all depends on what speed thier flying at you.. trajectory, angle... it varies
but if you happen to get on speared into your head, those hurt the most
I had a glowstick spear through my head back in 'Nam. Lost all the feeling on the left side of my face and I've never been able to step foot in a rave to this very day.
Listen to what this guy has to say. He knows what he's talking about.
I think the late night sets would be the best.. like the superjam or ump/disco. I'll be way too caught up in the music durring radiohead to want to worry about dodging glow sticks. last year I got hit in the face with one durring dave; right after I said "don't worry it's not like you'll get hit by one"
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
they are just as cool to watch and they are not as heavy so they bearly hurt when people get hit. also, glowSTICKS usually have that end piece that sticks out where you can tie a string to it and that can serious cut/injure someone if they nailed in the head/eye. i've seen this happen!!!
A tortilla war during Oysterhead would be the dopeness.
I will bring a nutsload if others are doing it as well.
I remember we all got pumped up about a tortilla war for Oysterhead -and then it died. I will definately bring a couple stacks.... as well as a couple hundred glowrings and glowsticks. I have never witnessed a "war" before, so it should be fun as h e ll
Someone buy 300 or so of these and pass them out before the show. They only last for about 30 minutes, but it would be pretty sweet for the one show you passed them out at.
sorry, i don't want to sound like an ass and rain on anyone's parade, but if i could convince at least one person who is all about getting the glow war going to buy rings/necklaces in bulk instead of STICKS, then that definitely decreases the chance of anyone getting hurt. we can all have fun people....let's just be a little SAFER about it!
