My exercise routine involves jogging 5 miles every other day. My schedule would call for me to jog both Thursday and Saturday while I'm at Bonnaroo. Is it possible for me to jog around the site, perhaps around the perimeter? Can I expect Thursday to be easier than Saturday? Are either days possible?
If there is one activity that I would not want to do at Roo, it would have to be running. Once that sun comes up in the morning, it would almost be unbearable.
Are you not satisfied with the workout out you get from just walking around all day in the hot arse sun!?! No but really if you wanna jog, you can deffinitely jog around the site. Enjoy cleaning yourself up though after your done.
haha. DMB @ the gorge has run right through my marathon training on two occasions but hell I just partied and stopped running anyway. I start smoking ciggies and injest kinds of strange chemicals. It's only for a few days.
Jogging at roo? just break your routine, enjoy yourself and run when you get back.
edit: actually, running from one stage to the next makes sense.

Please, for the love of GOD, SAVE YOUR ENERGY!!! Walking to & from Centeroo, and straight wigging out physically due to musical excellence will expend all of your energy (thanks to the heat). DO NOT JOG. I REPEAT, DO NOT JOG. IF I SEE ANYONE JOGGING, I WILL HAND THEM A THICK, DARK BEER AND TELL THEM TO STOP IMMEDIATELY.
To hell with that. I run about 40 miles a week, but there's no chance I'll be doing any kind of unnecessary strenuous activity at Bonnaroo. I need to save as much energy as I can so I can stay up all night drinking.

Follow badfish's lead on this one. Even if you're not planning on being up all night (which you really should), it is damn near impossible to sleep after 8-9am due to the scorching sun. It is CRUCIAL to get as much downtime as possible, especially in terms of your legs, feet, & back.

Yeah man, festivals suck so much energy out of you anyway, i wouldnt go out of my way for a workout... On the other hand if you're that in shape, roo might not kick your ass as much as other people... Im not sure what kind of partying you plan on taking part in but i know one thing, im gunna be seeking rest whenever i can get it...
There will be plenty of room to jog around but it WILL be HOT AS HELL during the day, and the nights will be LONG especially if you've got band after band to see all day... Bonnaroo will probably cost you more energy per day than a 5 mile jog ever would...

Last year I saw at least 4 or 5 runners between 5am and 8am as I was heading in to crash. True die hards. Yes they were just running the campsite perimeter on the dirt road but still inside the campgrounds.
some people like to run. i guess its a good way to take in the camping area at a rapid pace. but damn walking 10 miles a day at roo with a backpack full of water is exercise enough for me
Something similar happened to me about a month ago at the gym. I didn't completely fall just lost my balance for a second and almost ate it...but i popped back up real quickly with the look that Brodie had in Mallrats after getting nailed by the ladder....
I saw somebody running in 04. And then a beligerant old wook started yelling at him. So, if you choose to run, just watch out for those beligerant wooks. They don't take kindly to no excercisin'

funny that you ask. I worked at a restaraunt right after the roo last year and one day this couple came up and the ladys got a 05 shirt on and I start talking to them....turns out the lady and her sister and there kids went, like pretty young kids, and they looked like pretty straight edge peeps. and the lady for some reason was talking about how she would jog in the mornings and people would be giving her the most insane looks. but to answer your question, you can run....but you will potentially cause some mental trauma if you cause one of the forementioned beligerent wooks to wig out while heavily dosed.

Thanks for the tip Danbird. When do beligerent wooks sleep so I can avoid them?
They're mostly nocturnal but are awake in numbers during the daylight, when darkness falls their numbers grow and as the night moves toward sunrise they begin their most bizzare behavior... Most are harmless but can be disruptive at times and are never trustworthy... Beware!

oooh dude! we totally need to make a "National Geographic" type documantary on Wooks!
"The Wook, or Wookius Dirtius, is a natural scavenger. Watch as the wook goes in for the steal.. notice how he ducks down, as not to be seen over the tents... now that our wook has his prize, this time a 24oz. coors light, he scampers back off to his nest. "
