40 years old here and this is my third roo. Music is life so us older folks need to keep living. Also it is real important for us to pass on to the younger folks "good people" ways. We always have a great campsite and the younger folks always make our site the place to sit and hang out. They are often surprised at our lack of hesitation in sharing everything we have with everyone else. Some of my best memories of the last years have been hanging out with these 20 somethings. I will keep trying to experience what I found back in 1981 when I started seeing Dead shows. It is getting harder and harder to find these days. Let me know if any other older folks are meeting up. I'll buy you a beer! Save travels!

Hey I'm 44, almost 45 and am about to become a five year veteran of the 'Roo. I love keepingup with the new bands and tipping my hat to the old ones. You're only too old when you think you are.
Karma for you storyteller! I'm 45 & this will be my 1st Roo! I agree that you are only too old if you think you are & IMO no one is too old to experience new things-it keeps you young (at heart, anyway!)

46 ;D
4th Roo; Can hang with all the big dogs still. Saw Particle end WAY past Sunrise 3 years ago - this is my favorite 4 days of the year.
Spent the last 2 years in KOA - Showers; pool hot tub flush crappers and all access wristbands. 2 years ago the KOA armbands were exactly the same color as the PRess bands- remember the huge rain prior to THE DEAD - we were in the press tent drinking free 420. Last year the passes were "STAFF" - Anyway long story short - I am young at heart or maybe the term is immature?!
