Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
My favorite website/clothing label/record company, Ropeadope, listed on their website today that they would be at Bonnaroo this year with their sales booth. While this is great news, the message also said, "plus meet your favorite ropeadope super heros like dj logic, mike gordon, the duo and other surprises." Now the Duo have a big empty space in their touring schedule from June 10th - June 27th. And both Mike Gordon and Trey will be at Bonnaroo already...so, maybe, possibly, hopefully, perhaps....GRAB will be playing at Bonnaroo!!! I know this is most likely wishful thinking but it makes sense to me! The addition of DJ Logic would be great! Maybe he'll be in the Arcade Tent! So, this is all mere speculation and cognitive dissonance on my part but I'm praying the planets align and GRAB is playing Bonnaroo.
i think a thursday secondstage oysterhead late night show is the proper remedy to all of my problems. actually they should make it a mainstage thursday latenight

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. Considering that Trey and Mike are both there already, as is Phil and Friends who they're touring with, i can definately see them being added... Superjam anyone?!?!?

Holy crap!! That would be great. Im gonna see them a few times myself but I was bummed that they were going to be at AllGood and I wont be able to make that. I'm hopefully seeing them twice during their tour though. Anyone who hasn't seen the Duo (or heard) the Duo before, its an absolute must! Great, new music with an AWESOME show. Does anyone have any idea what music GRAB is going to be playing? Original music or what?

Just to play devil's advocate for a second. . . Do we really believe that Superfly is giving this sort of information out indiscriminately to their vendors? I've gotta believe that in the interest of preventing leaks of this variety, information about additions is on a strictly need to know basis.
Believe me, I would be absolutely thrilled to see the Duo added, but I'm skeptical. You might check to see whether or not they were just using this as a template for all the festivals that they're attending. Did they release something similar for All Good, 10K Lakes, or Summer Camp?

Damn you and your logic (Not to be confused with D.J. Logic) I do sort of agree with you, though it could quite likely not have been Superfly that told them. Perhaps someone with the band did, or someone else who might be in the know. Either way, we will find out soon enough. The one thing that makes me think that it this might be true is just the oddness of the Duo NOT being at Bonnaroo
i dont really understand their process. so many artitsts have been leaked. wouldnt it be better to just announce them as they are signed? and when they sign them why dont they give us the day and time. they have to know it. ive said it before and ill say it again. i wish roo would do their stuff like 10klf does. that fest is wweekes after roo and we have known the schedule for over a month
It's controlling the artist's own media machines (or lack thereof- where just buddies and families run the business ends) that Superfly has trouble with, which leads to lots of leaks.
There are leaks every year, but each year Superfly tries new ways (timing I mean) of releasing info and such. The main problem is that you can't build steam after all the acts are announced, so you either release them all at once and just deal with a slow down in sales, or you temper your artist announcements for maximum sales impact. It's been interesting, especially since they don't do much traditional advertising (compared to other festivals). So you announce what you can, keep the excitement balloon in the air and let those acts sell your tickets-- and then your later announcements further drive new sales and help tip the fence-sitters.
We're in for a big announcement yet- and some of the cats have fallen out of the bag.

Superfly probably wouldn't give that information out indiscriminately to vendors, but Ropeadope is the label to which the Duo and Mike Gordon are signed so they would have to find out where one of their acts is playing. That's the only flaw I can think of in your otherwise solid, albeit disappointing, logic.
I e-mailed Andy, the guy who runs Ropeadope, so I'll let you know what he says about the Duo and why it was removed from the website.
Noooo....I sent this: Hi Andy, I noticed that yesterday on the Ropeadope website under the Bonnaroo update you mentioned, "meet your favorite ropeadope super heros like dj logic, mike gordon, the duo and other surprises." But now the Duo have been removed from the website to my dismay. I was just curious as to why the change was made? Sorry to nitpick, its the way a Benvento/Russo-addict operates when the Duo is mentioned.
And the reply was: it was a mix-up, they 'aint coming.
But he could still be lying...although at this point I doubt it. Sorry to cause trouble and get people's hopes up. Roo is still gonna be sick!
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
oh well maybe ill catch them in cleveland or possibly somehow at allgood. id still take ramble dove and oysterhead over them with the duo i think, but that woulda been sweet.
