i live close to nashville, and my dad and quite a few of his buddies are in the music business there. they were talking to robert plant about zeppelin reuniting and asked if they did, would nashville be a possibility? Mr. Plant replied yes but you don't have a big enough venue, sommet center is too small, and the ryman is waaaay too small. well one of the guys in the room said what about bonnaroo? and Mr. plant just smiled without saying a word. so is zeppelin coming to bonnaroo, i'd say it's a bigger possibility than we think.

I personally think there is a good chance of us seeing Led Zepplin there. I was pretty positive that they would bring in the Police and Tool last year and it happened, so I am going with the positive vibe If they are re-uniting you know that Superfly will do whatever they can to get them there.

We don't know if we'll have enough cash to do the Roo this year, but if Led Zeppelin ends up playing we'll donate plasma, sell one of the cars, pawn half the sh*t we own, I don't know. We'll find a way!

The Tool rumor about this time last year shouldn't of really suprised anyone. Actually, I'm not sure if it was a rumor, but does everyone remember Trey Anastasio saying they should or will play? I can't remember exactly what he said, but I know he did say they are the most pyschadelic band out there now. He turned out to be right on them playing. So I guess now, I'm trying to figure out who are the biggest rumors. Is it Led Zeppelin and Pearl Jam? Well, I guess the Pearl Jam thing has been unofficially confirmed, meaning it was leaked but hasn't actually officially been announced. And all this Zeppelin talk has got my mind all fucked up. It's gonna be a long 2-3 months for me on waiting for the lineup to be released. I'm getting my ticket the day they go onsale, with the assumption that Pearl Jam will be there and either Led Zeppelin or Bruce Springsteen will be there.
The last two years have had an act that headlined the previous year's competing festival (Tool & Radiohead both doing the preceding year's Coachella) and then a band that had a sort-of toe-in-the water the year before (The Police with Stewart's drop-in with Oysterhead the year before, the multiple drop-ins of Trey and Dave).
With that formula, Pearl Jam makes sense (their return to festival headlining in America with Lolla) and Zeppelin also does (JPJ).
Of course, let's not forget that Pearl Jam also makes for better bedfellows for their friends. Eddie is very close to MMJ, Harper and others. Lately he's been with Jack Johnson as well. (And I think a whole Brushfire Records crew could come-- ALO, Jack; and where ALO goes you might as well have Bret Dennen since they make up 2/3 of his band--- but we should all take the new Roo CD release as a sign.) I think both the Frames and David Gray could appear, especially the former.
These aren't so much rumors as what just makes sense based on timing, etc. Take with a giant salt lick.

The Disco Bisuits will be playing bonnaroo next year, as well as Daft Punk, also, Simon Posford might be making it not sure yet. Alot of great DJ's this year. MSTRKRFT will be playin a late night set as they usally do.

6 sets of Bisco, great Festival crew, for those of you who went this year, thanks alot for making it the best Camp Bisco we could ask for, hope you make it to next years, more music, more fun, more Bisco.
Don't think Daft Punk will be there, didn't they say something about the Vegoose show being their last American show for a while? Could be wrong though, can anyone clarify?

"I just got fragged by a non-working speak." 5 Roo's and counting

if Zeppelin plays then Superfly should market Roo with the slogan "dreams do come true"
and.... IF Robert Plant is there then i hope they also get Allison Krauss so that she and Plant can perform a set of their new songs together. its all good stuff!!
MMJ is due for a repeat at 'Roo...they played Lolly last year....PJ is the best bet for the most probable headliner....tho' LZ is a dark horse (and DEF the most anticipated fan fave so far on the boards). I think the Think Pink (Floyd) fans may have to settle for either a Rog or David Gilmour solo if we are lucky enough to get either.... RATM is a darkhorse since they did Vegoose AND Voodoo AND Coach this year....and a lot of Rock the Bells dates....they will probably not do the festie circuit next year...if they are still together will prob be focusing on a new studio album. I think Bruce with a new record out is a good possibility, and REM since they are doing Langerado.....all this is pure spec based on industry trends from the past......

After all of my studying, input from several others, and in general, all of the talking about rumors, anticipation and speculation, here's what I came up with:
and I apologize should I offend anyone if I put a certain band in a particular list they don't like
The "Classic Rock" Slot: (I really think anyone of these have a shot)
Led Zeppelin or Robert Plant Roger Waters or David Gilmour Eric Clapton, Cream or Blind Faith (Eric and Steve Winwood) Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band CSNY or Neil Young
The "Mainstream", "Alternative", "Hipster" or "Younger Generation" Slot: (I'm not sold on the Pearl Jam rumor yet, but I think it's either PJ, Radiohead, REM or David Bowie)
Pearl Jam Radiohead R.E.M. David Bowie (I put him with these bands because he fits best in this group, however, he is a classic rock-type artist) The Cure Rage Against the Machine Red Hot Chili Peppers Bjork Nine Inch Nails or Trent Reznor Foo Fighters Smashing Pumpkins
The "Jammy" or "Hippie" Slot: (I think we could see all of them except for Yes, with one of them getting a latenight, possibly Trey)
Trey Anastasio The Dead or Phil Lesh and Friends DMB or Dave and Friends (again, he may be mainstream or pop, but definitely caters to the jamband fan) Allman Brothers Band Yes
