oh, and anyone thinking that kanye west is headlining, i'm sorry, that's not happening, look at the lineup...he's obviously going to be playing a late night show with lupe fiasco and talib kweli. similar to what we've seen with common and lyrics born in the past.
The only thing is that Kanye is scheduled to play Thursday night right now, and Lupe is down for Friday night. This is according to these boards and their websites. But I still have a feeling that you're right and this is what is going to happen. At least I hope so. That'd be fun.
I'm also hoping they get a late night tent like the Superjam did last year.

i hope moe. late night..........i really just am hoping for one more "badazz" act to put me over the edge. I'll be there regardless, but one more (moe, TMV, Les, Bisco. One more staple of the festivals to turn the tides).

neither metalica nor pearl jam are half as epic as either tool or the police reunion... i believe bonnaroo has something in store for the few lucky enough to purchase a ticket before the announcement... i hope.

too bad that, for the most part, the police set was a dud......if i recall they played a 50 minute set with no "don't stand so close to me"....hardly epic. But as to how great these new shows will be (met/PJ), who knows? I'd be willing to bet the Pearl Jam show wil indeed be good/great......fingers crossed.......MOE. plz.
here is a thought. saturday is still wide open with metallica on fri kanye thurs and jack johnson sun. that said pearl jam could be the sat headliner but with john paul jones playing super jam last year and robert plant this year led zeppelin could be the monster announcement for saturday. the reason i think this will happen is there were no huge anouncements last year. what better way to kick off a u.s. tour. it would be epic legendary!

I just of this but I wander why roo hasnt thought of making a "Grand Ole Opry" Tent in the vein of the jazz tent last year. I am really surprised that this has not been thought of yet, and could add a whole new dynamic to the already extensive list of entertainment options that are at the roo already. I am not exactly a huge "country" fan but I think it would be appropriate for people who are interested in the good ole country music. Isnt Marty Stewert famous for his all night shows and guests. I think it would be a wonderful idea to show the true roots of Tennessee (even if you do not like country). Just a brain fart that will probably be buried in the thread within a day...lol.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
interesting. a little google search for Brett Dennen and Bonnaroo turned up this page.... An artist page for Brett Dennen with reference to all kinds of 2008 stuff... but he's not listed in the line up yet. Makes me wonder who else has artist pages who aren't listed in the line up yet. www.bonnaroo.com/artists/brett-dennen.aspx
They played in 2006 though, and it doesn't look like their page has been updated since then. here's hoping it's not... but it looks like it might just be the page from the 2006 roo.
Ok so i think i just figured somthin out! I was lookin on the bios for the artists of previous years and i went to 2005 then to Brett Dennen. His bio is FULLY updated for 2008!! I haven't tried lookin for other artists but it think this shows Brett is a lock!!
Updated profiles: Brett Dennen Ani DiFranco moe. ALO Cracker Mike Doughty Patti Smith
We i think this is shapin up to be a good year folks!!
Awesome... 154 pages. It's impossible to hit all of them. Someone else already discovered this one! Hellz yeah!
We can still have hope! I still hope for KOL. They were great when I saw them this year. Also since they are back on the bonnaroo site, I noticed that their info is really old. Like before 2007 old. It doesn't even mention their last album, so I wonder why they reverted to such an old info page.

I'm thinking The Breeders are going to be at roo. just looked at the tour dates and they will be around it at the same time.

Oh god I hope they will be at Bonnaroo. Karma for even mentioning the Breeders. The Pixies are my favorite band, and I will probably will never get to see them live so I am hoping to to see the Breeders and Frank Black sometime.
