They went on for more than 3 hours?!
At around 2:25 I thought they were finishing up their last song so I went to check out Blackalicious but if I had known that they would keep going I wouldn't of left. They were mindblowing for sure.
While watching Dungen all I could think about was how perfect they would be for a latenight set. Maybe next year...

If not for Radiohead's set, this is THE show of the weekend. Somehow they eclipsed their 2004 set. I hope they turn it into a DVD by itself. I'd buy it.
Absolutely my favorite show of the weekend. Even though I was incredibly tired, I had the energy to keep going. "Epic" is really the only word to describe that set.
Their cover of "A Quick One (While He's Away)" made my entire weekend. I couldn't help notice that not too many people knew that song... if you haven't, go out and rent the dvd of the Rolling Stones Rock n Roll Circus.

I have a question about that guy with the beard who played guitar for a few of the songs such as Dodante. I don't know a whole lot about MMJ, I just have Z so I don't know all of the members of the band but was that guy part of the band or a special guest? The reason I'm asking is because he looked alot like the lead singer of Built to Spill, Doug Martsch.

He's not a member of the band. I'm not sure of his name, but he was announced as a friend of theirs from Louisville.
EDIT: from the MMJ msg board, it looks like the guy's name might be Mike DeSalvo.

Incredible -- their energy factor has seemed a little more toned down the past couple times I have seen them, but they had all the pistons firing at Roo this year! Jim James came out looking like a fu*king mountain lion lurking around the stage. It was nice to see them living up to all the praise I toss on them. The "Quick One" cover was indeed noteworthy. It almost competed with Marah's cover of "Baba O'Riley."
I have been into these guys for years now and they keep getting better. I saw them on the lawn at Vandy in April and I swear they have gotten better since then. The show Fri night was the best freaking show I have ever seen at Bonnaroo. I have been to all 5!!!!!!
Expect only much bigger things from these guys. They are the headliner now!!!!!
I thought they were finished with their set when I heard Off the Record, so I figured I would head back to camp while listening to that song. Then I read later that there was a BUNCH more left after that and I was pissed. I still got to hear Dondante and Anytime, so I was happy.
