They switched the Cat Power and Nickel Creek slots around. I love, love, love Cat Power, but I was really looking forward to seeing Oysterhead, and, to a lesser extent, Death Cab For Cutie. Now I don't know what to do. Blegh.

I've never seen her live, but I've heard terrible things about Cat Power's shows being overemotional, melodramatic, clusterfucks that involve clumsy songs and Chan at the forefront of it all, acting like the world is falling to pieces around her. =/ No offense to Chan, I think she has a helluva lot of talent, but I'd stay away from her show. Sounds like a waste of time.

Just listen to this song that features lyrics and vocals by Ben Gibbard of Death Cab, and is inspired by Chan Marshall of Cat Power! Artist: Dntel. (Jimmy Tamborello's band. FYI, this song is what made "The Postal Service" record happen) Title: (This Is) The Dream of Evan And Chan you can hear it right here: Click here to hear, and figure out what you like better. I've overplayed that song so much that I'm sick of it at this point. >.< I need to give DNTEL another listen sometime soon. I'd nearly forgot about them.

Yeah, she's psychotic, but she's one of my favorite artists. I've wanted to see her play for a long time. If she sticks to playing stuff off of The Greatest then I probably won't hang around for very long, maybe only long enough to hear some older songs.
