Phil Lesh was the bassist for the Grateful Dead. The cool part about Lesh, in my opinion, is the "& friends" part. He plays with anyone and everyone, which always makes for a good time.

Yikes, who is Phil? Kids these days...... I think the diverse lineup for roo is great (huzzah for radiohead!!!), but this 'who is phil' buisness......
I dont mean to be rude, but f i was like 'who is Thom Yorke?' Youd probably think I need my head examined ???
Ok im done being a crotchetty hippie, but you should come see him play and shake your thing, enjoy a living legend. Hes part of the reason why the roo exists.
i was thinking as i opened this thread again from earlier, that it was real cool that noone gave this person a hard time for asking that question, but then i read the latest post . . . . real nice . . .
ya i refrained and posted about it in another thread. but i do agree. it just goes to show that the lineup is bringing a new crowd. but hey welcome. check out phil. he is great. i know i walk away from roo loving a couple new bands every year. there is no better place to become familiar with phil and friends then at roo

Last year, I didn't know who Panic was. They just weren't as well known out here and I couldn't understand (until I saw them) why they were headlining 2 nights. Since then, I've downloaded their Bonnaroo shows and have been handing them out to friends like candy. And I can't wait to catch them in Berkeley in July. I listen to a lot of music, all different kinds. But I can't imagine anyone going to Roo who isn't going to get exposed to someone new. Maybe someone's new thing is someone you idolize. Maybe your new thing is someone they idolize. That's the beauty of it. That's why I love this f*cking festival. That's why I'm counting the f*cking minutes until I'm back in the middle of some field in Tennessee with a big-ass smile on my face.

you are the scum of the earth
more like pond scum to be honest. or maybe the crap you skim off the top of pool. or better yet that stuff that collects on your teeth when you skip brushing and use mountain dew as mouthwash for a week. Yeah that sounds about right.
phil is god. he's the number one attraction for me this year. then again, the grateful dead are pretty much the shit. i just love that he plays dead songs
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
