Actually it's attitudes like this that kill the atmosphere. Nobody's bitching and whining. Dissapointed? Yes. With good reason though. I seriously doubt that many people who don't like the lineup will go, especially with all the other quality festivals out there. Thats cool your excited, lets not try and run everyone out of town who isn't as excited as you are.
To paraphrase BlueNose again, 'Jam fests are a dime a dozen, but there's only one Bonnaroo.'
It was just a matter of time before SuperFly realized they had something wildly special and wanted to diversify and see if they can take it a little further. No harm, no foul kids! The unhappy can go to Wakarusa, save some cash, and everybody gets their way.
umm pretty much i think everyone who is complaining wont be as soon as the other additions are made...most of the people are upset wiht the lack of jam bands...but i really see most of the major additions being made in the future being major jam bands...most of the people on the internet who have had any sort of inside word are hinting at this as well....this initial lineup is a little different then the other initial line ups but i wouldnt be suprised at all if the final line up is pretty close to the way it was with all the other bonnaroos...if this makes sense to anyone.....

this is gonna be my first bonnaroo i was wondering if there are still more listings to come because i thought there was eighty and theres about sixty, do they wait to announce the final line-up and when if they do? i was really hyped to see warren haynes, and maybe trey
Every week or so they release a handful of more names. I think theres usually 4 or 5 rounds of additions. Unless they are gonna give Trey a "special" latenight set like they did last year then I wouldn't count on seeing him. He would have to headline otherwise and it seems like they have their three headliners.

I sure hope trey doesnt come because i believe he is very over rated. I dont mind watching his show, but theyd give him a good slot and stage, and there are just other bands id like to see there much more. Just so people know, thats not to say he isnt a great musician, phish is one of my favorite bands, his solo stuff just doesnt entice me all that much, caught the beggining last year, but left to catch some sleep.
I doubt he will be coming. I can see why you'd rather see other bands instead, I mean Trey has been there 3 years already and what he's currently doing isn't all that great in my opinion. Wasn't at all dissapointed l slept through his set last year once I found out what it was about.

I personally thought the lineup was better then years in the past but I tend to like more rock n roll then jam. I like um both and i am sure they will add some more jam bands. This lineup is great great great so far. I don't think the spirt of Bonnaroo will be riuned at all. I expect it to feel like the years in the past once I get there.
Last year while everyone was watching Trey the Secret Machines put on the best set I saw all weekend, this was the most tripped out set, wow! I hope they get added again.

sorry for the language. I don't see my overjoyed attitude killing the atmosphere. I can say that when I posted this I was very angered by a comment I had just read on another site, basically saying how this years line-up has ruined bonnaroo forever. I see this year as the next big step, music is changing and they're moving with it.
It happens man. I just don't want this board to end up like every other board where people act like animals. I might not be going this year but there still are plenty of cool people here to talk to and I'm sure I have lots of useful advise for people new to bonnaroo. It's not my cup of tea anymore but that doesn't mean it sucks. The place is changing and theres nothing anyone can do about it. It's not a negative thing. I would only say that if there weren't 100's of other festivals I could go to with a lineup to my liking. It's all good, we all love music, thats what brought us here.
