Ok so i'll stop hating on death cab for a second. I just don't get it. Everyone I know thats into them wears dark clothing, is all depressed and sh.it, pops a buncha pills, is all IMO. Maybe thats just my boulder bias. But maybe its like that everywhere. I don't reall know
I could characterize lots of jam band fans negatively too, but I don't like to stereotype people.
I would bet there are people who are fans and you don't know they are fans, because they don't feel the need to dress or act according to what kind of music they listen to, ya know?
I've been into ALOT of different kinds of music over the years, and people are always suprised when its a "genre" that normally accompanies come kind of trendy dressing/piercings/tats/whatever... but I don't pay attention to that stuff, I just listen to different kinds of music that touch me in different ways.
so who else is putting together a playlist that goes in the order of the schedule??? im gonna get a 12 pack and a j to enjoy my friday roo experience tonight!!!
i actually lookin forward to radiohead.. not trying to hate. just seems an odd fit for the spot. i cant wait to see the lights and crazy sounds. and if i dont like it then atleast i will be able to say ive seen them when i argue with radioheads abotu how great they are

...Who cares what other people want to see. Go see what you want to see. And if you have nothign else to do, go walk around and see bands you've never heard of!
ya i thnk this is moving into that arguing direction. this is just a discussion about peoples opinions. no reason to get sore abotu it. just chatting and killing time. i like to hear other peoples thoughts even when they dont gel with mine. ive found a lot of good music i would have otherwise ignored. i always investigate for myself. if i dont like something i ask someone who does so i can find out what i should be checking out. if i still dont like it i ll let ya know just as soon as i would if i loved it
thanx for the smites though. i love those cute little things

I totally agree with you man. I just like stirring up arguments with IMO kids. They get so worked up about it.
well its what i have gleaned from the radiohead threads. yes i do view all of them. im not the radiohead hater im made out to be and i have checked out hours of live radiohead and you tubes. i have every album they have ever put out. downloaded of course .. if someone has an instance of radihead putting on a 4 hour show with lots of guests i would like to hear about it so i can check it out. but in all of my, as you worded it "research" i havent come across anything of that nature. the setlists all look pretty similar and about the same length

another nasty Saturday conflict... U.S. vs. Italy world cup action vs. Rusted Root vs. Elvis Costello... i was looking forward to Rusted Root -> Damien Marley... but as I have seen Root a # of times I might have to just take a break and watch the world cup game before Beck/Radiohead

also noticed in same Saturday mess... one can either choose to catch some of Blues Traveler > MMW > Les Claypool > end of Cypress Hill.... or one could see Beck... tough choice man.. I know I'd rather catch glimpes of all 4, but will most likely end up seeing all of Beck
Friday looks like the hardest day for me. There are hard choices on Saturday and Sunday, but the Friday schedule generally makes it impossible not to miss at least 3 bands you're interested in seeing.
damnit i missed it .... i hate when that happens. we have a challenge at every roo. we try to enjoy every single 420 of the whole festival. i have been succesful so far

I was referring to your comment about guest spots, not set length. Radiohead hasn't played in a festival like Bonnaroo (because there isn't one, right?). The only festivals they've played in the last few years, they were the headliners and the show was over when they were done. There is nothing to support whether they will or won't collaborate, but of course you jump to the conclusion that they won't.
My point being "what you have seen" doesn't tell you what they'll do. It's just you forming opinions out of thin air.
whatever man. im not going to get into it. if ya have some evidence of radihead haveing guests come up on stage to jam with them id love to hear about it. i dont claim to be the radiohead knowledge master or anything. someone said they thought they might do superjam and i threw my opinion out there. sorry it has troubled you so.
