Do you think theyl sell out fast, or at all, this year because of the lower cap and headliners? Im getting my ticket asap, but i also wana be able to wrangle some people in to going, and it may take a bit. What was the earliest bonnaroos sold out, if they ever have?
I think the first couple of years they sold out pretty quickly, but the last couple of years, it took awhile (if they sold out at all)....I know that last year they had tickets up until the festival started (like they actually had a box office)
With the change in lineup, it's hard to say. I may not be able to go at all, but I'm going to go ahead and buy a ticket because I will be kicking myself if I find out later that I can go and the tickets are sold out.
I saw Radiohead on their last US tour. Freaking amazing. I'm suggesting that everyone check them out. Even if your not a fan it's worth seeing. There is no telling when they'll sell out. I'm kinda wondering what kind of crowd is gonna show. Usual fest kids or the indie set?

If what Heavy C said above ("One of Radiohead's first appearances in the US in almost 5 years....that's going to sell a lot of tickets quickly."), I'm going to go ahead and guess that it'll be option b.
I am thinking this Bonnaroo will attract all different types of ppl..The Hippies, The Indie crowd, older crowd who likes stuff like Raiit,Scaggs,Guy and so on.
It sold out in about 3 weeks the first year. I'm pretty sure it didn't sell out at all the last two years. Theres going to be a lot of people who usually go not going this year but with capacity down and Radiohead being a headliner I would bet it sells out pretty quickly.
I was a little off on it being 5 years, but it has been a while. According to greenplastic.com (radiohead site). Not counting Coachella in 2004, they haven't played a show in the US since Oct 17 2003 in New York. That show completed their US summer/fall tour that year.
So that's like 32 months since they were last here on tour, and 25 months since they last performed on US Soil. My excitement over seeing Radiohead kind of got the best of me.
To get a feeling of what they are like live, go pick up the EP "I Might Be Wrong". It's an excellent disc.
I don't think they are going to sell out in days or anything, but I do see Bonnaroo selling out, maybe a little quicker then people would expect. To me, I'm expecting a good mix of people. All the bands are really top quality, and I think if you are a fan of music you really can't go wrong.

This is spot on!
The lineup is the most diverse yet and who knows what's still to come?!
Radiohead did a full tour in 03 and they are supposed to play a few dates on this tour. Bonnaroo is their only "festival" appearance. I am pretty sure that they are going to play in Chicago and probably NYC as well (they already tried to get Millenium park for two nights but got denied). And since they are not promoting a new album, I dont think that the festival is going to be all radiohead fans. Although that is the main reason why I am going. I am still freaking out about the fact that I am going to get to hear a 3-4 hour set (maybe even 2). Every time I see them live I want more, so this should be the money bomb.
