hey everyone, this is my first post on here but i have been wanting to make it for about 3 months (stupid aol), anyways i was just wondering why i havent heard anything about either of these bands. I would have to say that they are probably the trippiest bands i know. If you havent heard them check'em out. Also does anyone else have the feeling that are not enough trippy bands out there. I know that is gonna sound strange to some people but im just not seeing it. Oh well maybe they will add some more dj's. sorry for my little rant but ive been holding it back for a while
I'd love for either to make it out to Roo -- obviously it's not going to happen this year, but maybe in the future. M83 are stupendous live and I've only heard good things about AC's improvisation and trip factor in the live setting.

i'm totally with you on the animal collective. i've been calling for them to be added since 'who could win a rabbit' took over my brain for a short time last year.

Animal Collective is awesome live. They would fill a late night tent set perfectly.
I actually thought they were pretty bad when I saw them at Coachella. I loved their studio albums but sometimes, that music just doesn't translate well live.

It was light out when they performed at Coachella, right?
I could totally see that not being too great. When I saw them at Logan Square in Chicago in February, it was almost pitch black and I thought they were great. Everyone else did too.
Some bands just need darkness and the right ambience to perform well. I think two current bands who represent this are the Secret Machines and She Wants Revenge.
