I'll jump in on the oakenfold bashing... i saw him for the first time for about 30 minutes this year at coachella. I heard at least one trainwreck (or shoes in a dryer, take your preference) where he had to just completely cut out one track. For a DJ who makes tens of thousands (or used to at least) per show, that's just downright unacceptable. Then I found out from another friend that he was there a bit later for about an hour and witnessed two additional trainwrecks. Now I'm thoroughly unimpressed.
yeah.... I heard much of Oakenfold's set at Coachella too... we were in the beer garden right by the tent. It was OK music to just sit in the grass and drink beer to, but didn't exactly inspire me to get up and dance... I was hoping to hear starry eyed surprise, but left for the yeah yeah yeahs before hearing it.... I don't know that he ever even played it
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

I just spat this out in another thread, but when could GRAB actually play? Treys gone after Fri to open for petty on saturday, which means we can only hope for a return visit on sunday, a thought that literally gives me the chills....GRAB before Phil on the main stage, and all the possible madness this entails!

hmmm, a mention of the Duo huh... I do find it very hard to believe that AC & SuperFly would sit back and watch the most sensational tour (Phil with GRAB) go by and not get a piece of dat.
The promoters seem to get what they want, and I know they are realizing the lack of jambands (yes I realize PLENTY of jambands are indeed on the lineup) are prob what accounting for poor ticket sales.
IMO, The jambands sell the tickets b/c those are the acts that have fans that put up with festies. We the cult Bonnaroo followers are stoked for the more mainstream acts, cuz we prob would go either way, but beyond us, I dont think many petty fans or Radiohead fans are interested. Bonnaroo knows to sell properly, they must throw a few more jam based acts to get the hippie draw that sold them out in years past...

oh and its totally possible to fit GRAB before petty, with a Oysterhead late night. Or to bring Trey back on Sun and follow the proper suit of GRAB/Phil. maybe? lol!
I read in Relix a les claypool quote that said the Oysterhead will have flames/pyrotecnics and easter island heads and tiki torches with flames shooting out.... Sounded like he was joking, but if not, sounds like late night to me!

Ahhh please please Duo please! GRAB or no GRAB, I was surprised as it was that the Duo wasn't in the Lineup. GRAB would be awesome, but I'm already seeing them a few times this summer. No matter what the Duo does, it will be awesome!
