I think we can say pretty definitively at this point we're not getting any more bands, but BOY does this sound awesome. . .
Folks are going to lose their minds.
:: THE ART OF SUCH N SUCH :: Step into a world where oddity prevails and strange things are commonplace. Such is the art of Such n Such. Walk under an oversized misting umbrella which transforms to an interactive sound and light sculpture by night. Gape in awe as flames shoot skyward from a giant lighter and colored fire licks out of metal flowers. Glowing hot sculptures tell stories by night and create a sense of interest and wonder by day. Metal objects have fallen from space to land here and entice your senses. Take up a mallet and produce auditory vibrations as you play the discophone. Crackle and lightening emit from a strange coil controlled by a mad scientist. Circus imagery leaps out at you as a bright-eyed girl asks you to take your chances at the mustache wheel. All of the senses will be tickled by the art of Such n Such. We will create a space brimming with intriguing sculpture and visual art. There will be 14 sculptors, painters and fire artists bringing their work to this space. These artists will work together to create this cohesive and interactive area of mystery and fire. :: BONNAROO FOOD DRIVE 2006 ::
The Bonnaroo Music Festival and Conscious Alliance are proud to announce our 3rd Annual food drive to benefit the Good Samaritan Food Pantry, of Manchester, TN. Last year's drive brought in over 5,500 pounds of food donations for hungry folks in Coffee County. This year with your help, we know can pull in at least 10,000 pounds!
The first 2,000 patrons that donate 10 non-perishable food items will receive a free limited- edition Bonnaroo poster created by famed Rock Artist, Stanley Mouse! www.MouseStudios.com.
Two Food Drive Donation Tents will be located outside the entrances to the concert areas. These locations will be marked on the Bonnaroo Guide Map, given to all attendees upon arriving at Bonnaroo. After dropping off your food, you will receive a voucher for one free poster, that can only be redeemed at the Conscious Alliance "Art that Feeds People" Gallery, located inside Planet Roo.
Low-sodium and heath food oriented products are strongly encouraged as food donation items. We no longer accept donations of RAMEN NOODLES.
Thank you for your continued support in feeding the hungry everywhere the music plays!
At Bonnaroo this year, you're going to see some funny-looking people behaving oddly. Some of those are your fellow fans, but some are the street performers, fire-breathers, acrobats, musicians, puppeteers, and other buskers that have descended on Bonnaroo to perform guerrilla theatre at Centeroo. Watch for fun, out-of-the-ordinary performances, impromptu parades and unusual shows at the Solar Stage.
but i'm still holding out hope for more bands. not that i'm not already fulfilled by the current selection, but . . . what could possibly be bad about more additions to the line up?
Why does 'roo spend their capital on random shit like this instead of signing more artists? Don't get me wrong, sounds interesting, but its a music festival - id rather have the opportunity to see more bands than to see a metal sculpture garden and circus. Thats not what I paid $180 for... ???

well because its a music and ****ARTS**** festival. IMO, this is what makes festivals as fun as they are... your missing the big picture my friend
I suppose it's just that at every music & ****ARTS**** festival Ive been to, I've never been drawn to the ****ARTS**** what with all the good music everywhere... I guess I'm missing out

There is plenty of music you will see, the art work you see along the way to the stages and tents will enhance your experience quite a bit. Have some fun, check out the artwork, you'll enjoy it. I'm also sure these artists did not cost the roo a ton of capital.
This may be the wrong place to put this, but is it neccessary to announce the Buskers at Roo? I mean haven't they been there the last few years. I kinda thought they were like a mainstay of the festival. I know they were announced last year, but it's like annoucing there's going to be a market place. It's just a waste of an e-mail if you ask me.
