I don't have a ticket yet, but I am certainly planning on going at least one day assuming I don't have some kind of financial disaster in the next week. I'm not too familiar with many of the bands and not too excited about the bands I am familiar with (I think I'm most excited about Digable Planets and I fear that will be some kind of a nostalgia act), but I'm sure I will find a lot to like. I just printed out the grids and I have to say I find the corporate sponsor's prominence a little discouraging.
If it were any kind of a trip for me I would probably pass, but since its a long walk or a short train ride from my house to the site, I'll be there at least one day if I've got $60 in my pocket.
I'm way more excited about the Intonation Festival this weekend in Chicago. $15 a day, Tortoise closes tommorrow. That one is full of bands I've never heard of too, but for some reason I'm way more curious to check them out than the ones at Lollapallooza.
Anyway you look at it, the next nine days are a hell of a time to be in Chicago.
