Hi all! Newbies here- just wondering what is available as far as beer purchases are concerned. I don't suppose you can buy six packs @ the "store"... Only single beers ? Just tryin' to cut down on weight , since we're going tent only. (BTW, we'll be offering professional massages for beers, if you're interested. Just look for the Jolly Roger flag!) Liz & Rosemary from Milwaukee
the venue beers arent bad as far as concert prices go but they are pricey compared to store bought. i wouldnt go to the general store that is part of bonnaroo. im not sure if they sell beer but a gallon of water was over 5 bucks if i remember right. your best bet would prolly be to walk around the camping area. you shouldnt have to go very far before ya find someone selling ice cold beers for a dollar a piece.
I'll definitely trade beers for massages and I'm sure so will mygirlfriend, libbylule. I also plan to bring enough beer to feed a small army so I'll have plenty to trade.

With in out privaleges at the Roo am I to assume that the WalMart that is supposedly down the street within walking distance of the site? IM assuming they sell beer there? Truthfully im not sure and asking as I will be flying with only a couple of packs so any chance to get beer other than from official vendors is definitely beneficial...
the walmart is walkable. but its a good walk. actually quite a good walk. and carrying beer it would be a bitch. i would probably recommend getting your beer at roo. you can seriously just walk down shakedown street, or any of the campground areas and you will see several people selling beers for very reasonable prices. usually a buck or 2 a beer depending on the type. the venue beers are a bit more pricey then just random campers selling beer

Brooer's festival, peoples! Superdank beers in Centeroo served by the breweries. I think it's $1/ticket, 1 ticket = 2-3oz taste, 5 tickets = pint. That's a deal, for many beers which you may not be able to get in your locale. Plus I hear they give away tons of swag.

Future Cowboy can hang @ the Brooer's fest, but as we are from Milwaukee (aka Beertown) we are a little more concerned w. quantity vs. quality. Straight ahead MGD, etc. It's our wheat & grain group. BTW, we may have a fish flag instead of the Jolly Roger now because I saw another thread that said pirate flags were in abundance last yr. Our camp will be known as the Church of the Holy Mackerel. Stop by for free chess, know-it-all philosophical rants and possibly a wheelbarrow of ice water for mini-soaks. And last but not least, plenty of fresh green "salad". (PapaGeorgio yer thumbs must be numb.)

If you wanna buy piss-water, then that's your prerogative, but you're gonna be paying the same price for piss-water from a commercial Centeroo vendor as you are for GOOD beer from the Brooer's fest.
whats the hours and days of operation of the brooers fest. The past two years I have missed it both times. Whereabouts is it?
It was open pretty much from Noon to Midnight, maybe later. I remember getting a beer there for Primus' set a couple of years ago (I think, I'm a little fuzzy on the details...).
It's between the second stage and the rest of Centeroo (tents). You walk right by it coming from the main stage on the way to the second stage.
i thought primus got a really late start. i heard les wouldnt play until the dead were done. its all a little fuzzy but i though primus got going later then that

Well they were done @ 4am, and I thought they played like 2.5 hours. I was pretty sure the Dead were done by 1 or 130 (think they played until 1230). And I can't blame Les - who wants to compete with the mainstage when it's the frickin Dead??
Playing Elfman's soundtrack to Pee Wee's Big Adventure brought me to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL of appreciation for that guy as a composer. May be the greatest pre-show music of all time.
I'll definitely trade beers for massages and I'm sure so will mygirlfriend, libbylule. I also plan to bring enough beer to feed a small army so I'll have plenty to trade.
You bet I'll trade beer for a massage! ;D We're shipping our camping gear (from CA) before we leave. Once we get it all in our rental car, we'll probably use all the leftover space for beer.
The local Manchester Wal-Mart does infact sell beer. Pretty much all of your regular domestics, nothing exotic.
It is a "Super center" so it stays open 24/7
Hit Wal-Mart before you go into the festival. You WILL NOT want to walk it, it is a helluva hump! The closest route would be through the VIP area, but you can't get in there without credentials!
