Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I read on the Bonnaroo website that all the water available has Sulfur in it. This does not bode well for me, because I'm alergic to anything containing sulfur .
Do you think I will be able to bring my own water, even if the container water is unsealed, if I have this condition? I read somehere, maybe it was here that you can bring in your own water, opened or unopened if you get seizures. This would be a similar 'medical excuse' for brining it in. I think i'm going to email access@bonnaroo.com
("Information regarding Access for People with Disabilities: For questions regarding access for people with disabilities only. ") to see what I can do about this as well, and I'll post what response I hear from them.
i dont know man... it seems to me tthat they would just say that they allow you to bring in your own water so you will just have to follow their rules.....i read the seizure thing also and i would imagine that most fo the centeroo checkpoints would let you go by....but i bet the offical answer from superfly is that they allready allow you to bring water without sulfur in a clear factory sealed plastic bottle

Yea just bring a bunch of your own water into centeroo, be prepared. Throw a fit if they don't let you bring it in. And you should probably be weary of the mist tents, they reek of sulfer, your skin will probably melt off. Above all, don't sweat it, you'll be fine.
Oh yea, mike. I would suggest getting some kinda official-looking note from your doctor saying you're allergic to the sulfer. Carry it around w/ you while you're there and if anyone hassles you about your water, whip it out and slap em in the forehead with it.

I'm glad I warned you. The last thing I want to hear while washing my face is blood curdling screams and other hysterics from the mysting tent. Maybe sunblock would help.
i dont think it would affect you uless you ingested it... maybe not i dont know...im pretty sure that all water has some sulfur in it but tap water is treated so it dosent smell
i found the topic kind of interesting and i found that sulfur is everywhere, in every cell of our body in amino acids, and that you cant really be allergic to it...i guess you cant be allergic to iodine either(which my cousin is) its actually a molecule that they bind with iodine that causes the allergic reaction... so i wonder if your not allergic to something else or if i just ran into some bunk info.
not trying to be a dick or anything im just kind of interested because i have well water and have never heard of sulfur allergies... my son has some unknown allergic reactions and they started when we moved here with the well water, but we now only drink bottled water and it hasnt gone away

They let you bring your own water into centeroo. In fact, they encourage it. "Stay Hydrated" echoes across every stage, every day. Spend a day in Centeroo, bring 6 bottles of water to split between 2 people, and they are gone by night fall. You can't go a day without drinking a ton of water, and the water there tastes like shit. In fact, I wouldn't drink it. Bring your own and bring plenty.
Unfortunately, most beers (and wines) use sulfites (sulfur derivatives) for preservatives.
You can bring your own sealed water bottles into Centerroo, but you may also want to consider that since the water from all the washing stations and the mist tent etc. is treated and that a lot of it winds up on the ground, the kind off footwear you'll be wearing. Add this to the fact that it generally rains at least once during 'Roo you've got a whole lot of the stuff floating around in certain areas. Hopfully, your allergies aren't that severe and this doesn't bum you out.
I carried the same bottle around all weekend and no one ever said anything to me...plus all those kids with Camalpaks got into Centeroo no problem.
Anyway I say just bring in jugs of Deerpark or something and refill your bottles at camp. I remember seeing vendors selling bottled water too (can't remember if it was in or outside Centeroo though).

the problem with brining my own water, is that I'm traveling down from Massachusetts, in a car with 6 people. So logisticaly speaking, I won't be able to pack enough water for the trip, and for Bonnaroo. I sent an email to the "Disabilities" people, and havn't gotten a reply yet. If I don't get one soon then I will send one off to the general questions email and see what happens.

Maybe if worse comes to worse you can stop at the wal-mart that is a few miles from the farm, and just bungee-strap a few cases of water to the top of your car before you go into roo.
Or consider taking two vehicles, 6 people is a lot. I went down with 2 others in my car last year and it was pretty packed. But that was in a Ford Escort Wagon (represent). Maybe you have an Excursion or something.
