Ive been two 04' and 05' but, i have not yet brought my own beer in because of not wanting it to be taken up and beer in centeroo is expensive. So whats a good way, that you guys have tried, to sneak some beer in without getting it takin up?
Personally I drink excessively at the campsite, bring three or four in with me in pockets or a backpack, and then occupy myself otherwise for the rest of my stay in Centeroo. I usually have one or two big bottles of water in my pockets or bag and that kind of hides them too. I've never had beer taken away. I think once or twice I've been told I can't take it in (probably taken beer into Centeroo around twenty times), and I either pound it or try another line. In a backpack under a shirt or a towel should work 90% of the time. I wear baggie cargo shorts and I've never been patted down to the kneecaps at Roo, so I can at least get two or four in in the cargo pockets. As for larger quantities I couldn't tell you.
I'm not one to pine nostolgically for Roos past (gets better every year), but one thing was better "back in my day": In '02 the only security check was to get to the two main stages. The tent/Centeroo area had no security checks, no lines. That was sweet. Especially for late night. It's not that big of a deal now though.
You can always fill a backpack with beer and have someone you know go in to centeroo ahead of you. Have them walk down the fence away from security and then just throw them the bag full of beer over the fence. I've seen it work many times.

I've also seen two people get it confiscated this way, but it was at the main stage area. They probably don't have as many roaming guards in the tent area.

Some people will get stuff taken others will hardly be searched. All you can really do is hide your stuff out of sight the best you can and hope to make it through. I wouldnt say its hard by any means, but you could always be the one random dude they decide to hassle...
Exactly. The first year I went I never hid my pipe and bag when I went into centeroo. The very last night we were there I wasn't exactly with it and wasn't paying attention and the lady checked every single pocket on me and patted me down. She took my bag and threw it out and gave me a stern look then she just let me go. Luckily I didn't have much left. You just never know when they are gonna decide to do a good search. Beer at the bottom of a bag or in a blanket works when they give your bag a light pat. When they actually open them and look then it doesn't work so good.
I've found it a good idea to hang back from the lines at security for 30 seconds or so before you go in. Watch for the slowest moving lines - those are the ones where they guards are seaching the most completely. Yawning is a good sign for a quick pass-though.
They're mostly gung-ho for snatching "stuff" the first day and they seem less and less interested as the weekend wears on (and people get their June sweaty funk on).

I walked right into Centeroo with beer last year each day. Nobody ever said a word. I didn't know it wasn't allowed. I must have just gotten lucky with which lines I picked
Later at night security starts to care a lot less about what people are bringing in - I seem to recall bringing in 6 beers just in various pockets of my shorts once. Just don't try it the first time through - once you get comfortable with the security checks, do what you will.
