We're looking at the possibility... We have 4 of us going VIP with a relative that might lend us an RV. If not, we might be interested in the parked-RV deal the Bonnaroo site spoke of (no details released on that yet).
Two of us are going VIP for the first time this year (last year we did general admission), but we will be in a car. Have either of you gone VIP before? If so, did you feel it was worth it?

We're packing up my car and staying in a tent (the tent pictured on my MySpace page). It will be just me and my friend GoingLoopy (also on my MySpace page) again.
A camper sounds like a great idea. Does it have a shower or are you talking about the showers in the VIP area?
We discussed renting an RV for the comfort of it, but last year our main gripe was the walk so we opted for VIP instead. We ended up actually enjoying the tent/camping experience, even though she hated camping as a kid and I had never been camping.
So I just confirmed that we are going in an RV... a pulled camper, to be exact. Still trying to work out the generator situation- but even without one it will be like a hotel compared to last year.
What kind of generator are you looking at? You will need 3000 watts if you want to run the AC. Less like 1000 watts if you just want lights and to recharge the camper batteries. It will be a stretch just to run on the battery for the long weekend. Eventhough the frig and water heater use LP they also use a little of the 12 volt for the electronics.
We only really want/need it for occasional AC use and to charge some small electronics. So we'd need something bigger, but not giant or constantly on.
I think we have the situation worked out for one- I'm just concerned with transporting it actually in the camper because of the smell. Any advice there? I was thinking of putting it in a sealed tub for the trip to and fro.
Yep it will smell.... Are you towing the trailer with a pickup? If so put the generator in the bed of the truck. Make sure to bring a chain and lock for it also.. Another option would be is to shrink wrap it then put it in the camper... Where are you putting the gas? Find out how much it burns a hour at max load...worst case. And bring a extra quart of oil..

Awesome. Thanks for the advice. We're towing it with a nice Suburban (unfortunately) otherwise the pickup bed would be ideal. Great tips though. We were thinking of putting the gas also in a plastic container, sealing it.
Hi All- We have an RV parking pass in the VIP section, BUT- my husband and I are now in desperate need of an RV- we would like to find another couple to split it with if possible.
