Can't wait for my first roo, but have some questions about the campsite situation for the bonnaroo vets out there... Ever hear of anyone getting their stuff thieved from their tent while they were away at the shows? Or maybe their whole tent thieved?
I will most likely be riding the shuttle into the campsite and won't have a car to lock stuff up in. I'm thinking I'd have everything in a big backpack, which I could leave in the tent while I was out watching shows. Nothing too expensive or irreplacable or anything, but nonetheless I'd be bummed if it got snagged. Does that happen enough for me to worry?

no lockers no campfires I have been to all four so far and have never had anyone steal from my tent or campsite. We leave stuff out, like tables, chairs, food, water, and never has anything come up missing. For better piece of mind maybe you should think about getting a small key lock for your tent. You can lock the two zippers on most tents with one. Hope this helps.
You might want to double think the small locks on the zippers. That might stop the casual thieves, but not the determined ones. I had friends that used locks in '03 and they just cut through the side of the tent to get in. Now you've got a leaky tent and your crap is gone. Personally, I'd bury anything important.
Most of the sticky fingered folk tend to target alcohol/intoxicants/money/food/small electronics. Now if someone was really truely hungry, I'd share my last bit of food with them, but please ask me first! Nothing like coming back to camp at night and no snacks to be found!
Making friends with your neighbors is the best bet, but during the shows all sorts of people roam the campgrounds. If you don't leave anything out in the open, you should be fine. There's so many "easy pickins" that the less noticable sites should fly under the radar.
