Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'm looking at last year's map of the venue and I am trying to make a determination as to which entrance is the best gamble to try and end up in the middle-ish area. Maybe like Camp Aussiemullet.
If you can remember, could you give approximations so we can see possibly the parking distribution logic they used last year. I know it is not an exact science but I am already racking my brain about it and thought what the hell, I'll post the question.....maybe I'll get a response.
Last year we came in on New Bushy Branch Road on the upper right side of the map and got stuck in Camp Canadian Passport.
Tthe first year we took 24 East to the other side of New Bushy Branch Road and were stuck in Camp Poodle Cut at 6am Friday by some tweaked out 'Roo workers. We were setting up the tent by my truck headlights when I noticed they seemed dimmer. Then I looked up and saw the sun coming up. The only thing to do was start taking lemon drop shots to help me sleep... ;D
thanks for the feedback.....lemon shots should have done the trick....:) how far of a walk was it from camp poodlecut to shakedown street???.....i dont think i would mind that area since it is close to 'what stage'.....it looks kinda isolated but still had all the important things (ie. ice, medical, etc.) within a close walk......what was your overall impression of being out there???
We came in New Brushy from the West side (top left). We got in line at 7:30 am Thursday and ended up getting a spot in camp Kojak about 3pm the same day. Sweet spot to see the headliners while resting for the Late Night shows.
The problem with the first 'Roo was the only entrance to Centeroo from Camp Poodlecut (or anywhere else) was by Camp Dreadlocks . The closer one by Camp Kojack was exit only, so the walk was almost 20-25 minutes to get into Centeroo.
that sucks man......well exit 1 off of 24 is looking better and better as a possible crap shoot at the middle area......anyone have any experience with that route?

We came in New Bushy Branch and did get lucky with Aussiemullet. Can't remember exact times, but thinking in the gates and all set up by mid-afternoon on Thurs.

Hey! Just letting you guys know.. I'm working one of the ticketbooths putting armbands on people and stuff and they've told us that there will be more gates to enter into Bonnaroo this year to try to cut down the traffic problem. They've also added something like 100 acres or something. As soon as you get used to something, they turn around and change it, huh? Love and rockets Hil
And one day we will die And our ashes will fly From the aeroplane over the sea But for now we are young Let us lay in the sun And count every beautiful thing we can see Love to be In the arms of all I'm keeping here with me.. ~Neutral Milk Hotel

Kittens, we plan on showing up very early Thursday morning--12 midnight- 1pm. Are they going to punish us by sticking us way out yonder, far from the stages?
Do you if this is a policy or an ugly rumor???
We are showing up early because last year we got in line at 6:30 am Thursday and didn't get to our camp until 2:30 pm, so we thought we would get there earlier

Well, as far as I've been told, which is not much.. There will be several more gates this year, I know this because they've doubled the number of employees this year. I also happen to know that I've gotten on the first shift, from 6pm-6am on.. WED night. Not sure if we'll open the gates exactally at 6, but we have to be there for orientation at 3:00pm.. so.. I hope this helps some, I do know they've added more gates, but I don't know exactally how. As far as camping goes, I have nothing to do with that. They just tell us to take the tickets and give an armband. Love and rockets, Hil

I'm going to try to work the same gate again too! I'm so excited I'm about to pee in my pants! I want to leave now now now! Love and rockets, Hil

Hey! Very interested in this subject! Last year we were there right as the gates opened on Wednesday night (8:00pm). Probably had to wait maybe an hour. We got parked in camp poodlecut, which was a nice little walk. The bridge on woodland avenue was fun to walk over, kind of like a 24-hour party. I also liked being over in that area because it was like our own little village, with people set up selling their wares on woodland avenue, definitely a great vibe/party going on (although I suspect its like that everywhere)!!!! This year we are going to leave later on Wednesday night, maybe even 4 am Thursday in hopes of getting a closer spot, although if we were in camp poodle cut again, I wouldn't mind. I live maybe 10 miles away in Manchester, by the way. I can't wait!!!
