Not a bad summer so far.......I didn't realize how addicted I was to this thing in the months leading to the Roo!!!! Now when there is one new post every three days it's exciting!!!!!
yeah, I was addicted too...maybe I still am. Not posting much, but I am checking at least once a week. School has started for me as well, except I am teaching it. 8th grade Math has never been more of a struggle for me to teach....kids this year are just not in the mood to pay attention....they'll get there. Maybe I will try Chalkdust Torture again, that got them engaged one year....music sort of humanizes you to a 13 year old....they usually think that I listen to weird music though. I tried relaying the story of Harpua one year, complete with racoons!!! they didn't get it. This year, I am going for the gold... Gamehenge-and I actually have a Tela in class this year ;D hope you all are doing well
hola everyone. Super long time without posting or even visiting to lurk. Hope all is good for everyone. Bunny, I hope your fall turns out better than your summer. Good luck to all the students this year. I'm buckling down for our third nasty storm in less than a month. Was absent for Charley due to a little shindig up in VT, but Frances got us pretty good and Ivan is looking so ferocious I think I may have to pack up the chillins and head outta this little peninsula we call home. Prolly won't make it to Roo '05, gonna hit up High Sierra and Telluride this year, but you never know if I'll get a wild hair up my *** and show up. I'll make sure to check back often now that I know peeps are still posting. Peace to all:)

95 degree weather with no a/c? you should be set for that! sounds like roo
but seriously, I hope everything is ok down there. I have a bunch of friends that are coming up here to avoid Ivan (they're around miami). Crazy season we've been having! Blame global warming...

I've been lurking. ;D My summer has had it's ups and downs. More lay offs at work, a lot less hours, two of my roomates have up and left after telling me they are going to sign the lease. I "met" this really awesome woman that is now my girlfriend. Met is in quotes cause I've known her for about 9 years and I finally realized she was a woman, not some girl I knew in high school. Had some money problems, lack of hours. Got really busy at work the last week. Found another roomate. Got a really awesome couch, I had no furniture when the other roomates moved out. Been getting better at darts. Read some good books, seen some good flicks, watched an awesome sunset then and equally great sunrise. Got two tickets to see My morning Jacket, Jurassic 5, Ben Harper and Dave Matthews. It'll be Jen's first Ben show, my 5th. Quit smoking almost (I've slipped but never more than two in a day when I do). All in all a decent summer. I'm looking foward to Roo 05, if everyone comes that says they are we'll have eight people. So no real complaints from me.
I've been lurking all summer too; I'm always excited when there's some posting action.
I've had a great summer since Bonnaroo, highlighted by the best day of my life (wedding) and an amazing honeymoon in Hawaii (we are semi-seriously considering moving to Maui).
It's been unusually cool all summer in Chicago but I personally like it that way.
I've been listening to my David Byrne and Wilco downloads from Bonnaroo all summer and I'm anxious for some Bonnaroo CD/DVD info which in past years has been announced by now.
It's great to hear from all of you and I hope everyone is doing well. I'll be hanging around waiting to discuss the 'Roo '05 dates/bands announcements we should get in January or February.

Hey all! Great to hear how you all are doing. Hope Timochee and others in FL have been making it OK, happy b-day to Fluffy, congrats to Drugs and Faletti, and cheers to Bunny for a better fall than summer. Feels like I'm getting caught up with old friends. Nothing major here, just living life and trying to enjoy each day as it passes by so quickly. Already have had a few conversations about Roo 05 and my gang's all in again, so up that posse from 8 to 20.
moved to Cali...Nor Cal to be exact got some job i'm slavin away at...broke as $hit but still happier than ever, Saw a free blugrass fest in san fran last weekend, my girl told me she can't do Roo this year so we may go to Hawaii instead.

zzzzz. It's been pretty lame around here since Roo. Did just check out Yonder Holloween, it was an amazing show. Just got an email from Widespread and there comeback is in the making for spring 2005. Latest I heard was University of Georgia football stadium in Athens or fox theatre in Atlanta. Wherever it is I'll be there.
