Assuming Jhene Aiko is out with that festival in Orange County she's playing in March. Thought she was finally going to play, a couple other names on that line up I thought would be there too.
She finally played in 2014.
Oh whoops. Assuming Snoh Aalegra is also out with March SoCal dates.. well that suck.
Soulwax at Coach 2020? - just noticed they are playing CRSSD festival (co-run by Goldenvoice/AEG I think) in San Diego 7-8 March and Mexico City festival 15 March (as per band's website). Don't see any other shows announced. Seems would be lot of effort to bring their act to Mex/W Coast (inc. 3x session drummers last time) for a couple of shows, without them playing Indio... Saw them in 2018 - totally incredible. Thoughts?

Yeah, CRSSD isnt part of GV anymore. And there really wouldnt be a reason to have Soulwax again doing the same show as they did in 2018. There will probably be some other tour dates for them, but thatll be it. Best case is that some crssd acts play in la around the fest.
So far the Dewaele bros have alternated Coachella appearances between 2ManyDJs and Soulwax, and a 2ManyDJs booking would be next if that pattern holds.

How do you know they're doing the same show at CRSSD as they did in 2018?

Somebody asked Soulwax on their FB if it was with the 3 drummers again, and they replied with a Yes. Doubt they changed the setlist at all.
A redditor confirmed Major Lazer . Hopefully it’s more captivating than that abominable Do Lab w1 set . Too much talking, not enough music.
I hear they had a good set in 15.
If this constitutes some of the EDM cheese, I’ll take it. Better than Zedd
2016. And it was fun. 2013 was way more fun, and 2010 was pretty epic cause nobody had any idea what to expect from their shows. Hopefully not on the main and it ends up as sahara counterprogramming for somebody else. And Diplo strikes again!

Saw that post, but wasn't sure on the source. They said they were headlining, which means two things to me: 1) The person is lying 2) The person heard info from someone who is confused and doesn't understand difference between subbing and headlining.
Would Major Lazer really be a sub though even with their final album?

Left Florence + the Machine early to see Major Lazer at Governor's Ball this year and it was a boatload of fun. Absolutely hoping they end up on the outdoor

I don’t know how she would fit on the lineup but Jill Scott announced a tour for Feb-Late March for the 20th anniversary of her debut. Nothing west of Texas.
I don’t know if she matches Coachella BUT if we are getting Sade it would be good to get artists similar.
I got bored at Major Lazer 2016 personally but probably because my section of crowd was pretty whack. Rancid, Matt and Kim, The 1975, Major Lazer, Sia, Calvin Harris was a solid Sunday Main Stage that year.
Don't think Jill Scott would draw well at Coachella.. but I'd love to see her. Highly doubt we get Sade. I want to get D'Angelo so so bad though. Hopefully Hiatus Kaiyote as well.
Hopefully Major Lazer still does that thing where they tell everyone to crouch real low, and then they tell everyone to run to the right, and then they tell everyone to run to the left, and then they tell everyone to jump.
It's like a bad aerobics class but with the added bonus of putrid music.

If they're playing, makes me think they're closing a stage. Industry leaks seem to conflate headlining a stage with headlining all the time
Ideally they're not there, but not a terrible Sahara closer against Rage or something

Why not in Sahara? I would say they are too big, but sahara is basically a stage now (kinda sucks).
Main during sunset or even subbing makes most amount of sense, but lets see if they're even on the lineup and where at
