Maaaaaaaaaaan @ that Angel Bat Dawid album. It's not my favorite album this week but I'm pretty sure this has staying power for the year. It's also cementing International Anthem as my favorite current Jazz label.

Strange coincidence that I saw that that album was listed in an early favorites of 2019 list I came across last night, and I put it in my 'stuff-to-listen' spreadsheet.
I keep google docs of albums and shows. Pretty much always have those two tabs open
I don't plan for upcoming releases but I keep a Spotify playlist of stuff I want to check out, both new and old. It helps me stay on top of everything and if I don't know what I want to listen to I pull up the list, turn on shuffle, and press play.
At one point the list ballooned to days and days of music. Now I have a rule that nothing stays on the list for more than a week. If it's been there for seven days I either have to listen to it or delete it and possibly forget it forever.

This sounds like something I'd enjoy. Might steal it at a later date

Go for it. It's really nice when you're reading, say, a Bandcamp article and you can just save a few albums to get around to later. If I tried to write them down or just remember it, I didn't have a chance.

I haven't really loved anything this month so I'm hoping March will be better. Xiu Xiu is what I'm feeling right now. Maybe Julia Jacklin but I need to listen to that a little more.

I started a new job at the end of last month and can no longer listen to a bunch of albums at work, so I'm way behind.
Dave Harrington Group is still my fav, but I haven't listened through Julia Jacklin's yet and I think that might take it.
Also need to get to Xiu Xiu, Jessica Pratt, Panda Bear, Methyl Ethyl, and Ariana plus everything that came out today.
Basically what I'm saying is it's gonna be a very busy weekend
HM- Cherry Glazerr, Julia Jacklin, Cass McCombs, Health, Boy Harsher
Top 10 so far this year
Sharon Van Etten- Remind Me Tomorrow Mono- Nowhere Now Here Dave Harrington Group- Pure Imagination, No Country Cherry Glazerr- Stuffed And Ready Lip Talk- Days Julia Jacklin- Crushing Steve Gunn- The Unseen In Between Health- Vol. 4: Slaves Of Fear Better Oblivion Community Center- Cass McCombs- Tip Of The Sphere

You've maybe listened to the Xiu Xiu record by now. I always try experimental music but for whatever reason it doesn't click. This is the first one that has ever clicked with me. It's raw and nonsensical in parts and others it's nasty and abrasive. It's not going to be something I come back to often but it was quite the experience and I enjoyed it.
