Holy Shit...This new album from twigs is such a masterful work.
For whatever reason I never really got into her in the past, but this album caught my full attention and awe right away...And it won't be slipping away any time soon.
As others have said, it'll be near impossible for this to not be my Nov. AOTM.

This sums up how I feel really well. I put it on because I've seen her name and people talk highly of her but holy shit I am so blown away by this album
I'm just going to say it since I don't think it's been said yet: I was not impressed by FKA Twigs. Kinda boring. I read through the lyrics to try to understand the impact more, and it didn't gut me the way it did for many of you. Listened twice through. Might try again one day, but just not for me I guess. I usually love this type of album/genre, too.

Did you like any of the tracks? Just curious to know if particular songs weighed it down for you or if none of it stuck with you. Fallen Alien, Mary Magdalen, Sad Day and Mirrored Heart instantly hit me where as I can see how some of the others aren’t as obviously good.

Yeah, I remember a few that were pretty solid. I'd have to listen again to remember which one(s). "Cellophane" is a great closer.
Not AOTM or anything, but Coldplay's Everyday Life is their best album since Viva La Vida. Orphans seems to be one of the only songs that doesn't represent the album overall.

I honestly don't think I have a vote for November. I'm sure that in a year or so I'll suddenly appreciate the FKA Twigs album, but she's easily going to win the month with or without me.

I liked it a lot more on second listen. Not enough to vote for it but probably enough to listen again.
Gave FKA Twigs a couple of listens and there are some things I like, but it didn't really move me enough to win. I'm going with Beck go on and hate me.
Edit: Ok i gave Michael Kiwanuka a listen and it is better than Beck. I'm like Florida in 2000.
I promise I try not to be contrarian but Lake Mary is the album I kept going back to this month. FKA Twigs is really good and I'm sure I'll become obsessed with it some time in the next few months.
I was listening to the Queen and Slim soundtrack, which made me go back to listening to Blood Orange's Angel's Pulse album. Angel's Pulse is such a great album. Damn. Devonte Hynes is incredible
