At Bonnaroo 2003, I remember there being a DVD pre-sale in the merch tent in Centeroo ... I didn't see one this year. They've GOTTA release a 2004 DVD though, don't they? Here's to hoping we hear some info. on this soon.
OK Bonnaroo people, so when the hell is this DVD coming out? I guess in time for christmas eh? Hopefully the extra time they are taking in putting it out, will equal an extra great DVD.
I'm afraid it seems more and more like there won't be an official CD or DVD release. If I remember correctly, I think the CD and DVD were both announced almost immediately after the festival and released sometime in the fall in past years. I know that the DVD productions do not have a huge budget and it is possible that the weather somehow prevented them from getting enough usable footage to put the DVD together.
As an avid DVD collector and someone who has lobbied the Bonnaroo people to budget more for the production and distribution of the DVD, this is dissappointing, but I would guess if there were going to be one this year we would have heard about it by now. Hope I'm wrong.
Well at least there is going to be a DVD. I was beginning to think they would never release one. Maybe the release will coincide with the announcement of the Bonnaroo 2005 dates.
Hey, if anyone read on relix.com, the 2004 CD & DVD is supposed to be released in April.
Well, at least we have an idea of when it comes out. Perhaps we could all make a list of shows where anyone remember seeing the cameras rolling?
Here's mine: Chris Robinson & New Earth Mud, Vida Blue, Kings of Leon, Gov't Mule, My Morning Jacket, Burning Spear, Donavon Frankenreiter, Guster, Trey Anastasio.
