This fest has officially moved from Utopia, TX to Burnet, TX. This is good for Austin residents and sucks for San Antonians.
UTOPiAfest Down In The Oaks will be a continuation of the elements we’ve all enjoyed at the ranch;
•The Vibe! - You can expect to see many familiar faces on the crew, and in the campgrounds. •Two stages, no overlap. •Intimacy - While we will embrace a natural growth in the family, we will still cap the crowd at a comfortable level, with plenty of space to dance. •Free Camping and Parking - When you get a weekend pass, you have the option to park (if carpooling) and tent camp for free. •Diverse lineup - Expect a wide variety of national and world touring bands, with a good representation of the Austin scene. •Late night parties - Introducing Goodtimes Grove, the return of Team Goodtimes, presenting late night all unplugged, completely shushed sets from artists on the lineup and beyond. The silent disco will be greatly upgraded and expanded. •Food Options - You can bring food for the weekend, or enjoy delicious selections in the Food Forest. •Family Friendly - We will expand the Kids Camp, and maintain an environment where kids of all ages are safe to roam.
Here are some of the exciting new things to look forward to... •The new space - This carefully cultivated venue is on a privately owned ranch. It consists of four vast, majestic wide open fields, enriched by numerous ancient oak, elm, and pecan tree groves. The land is rejuvenated by a natural spring river fork and ponds throughout. The space is comfortably secluded, with the same clear view of the Texas night sky. •Easier access - We can’t reveal the specific location just yet, but the new home is around an hour's drive from Austin, where most of us call home. There will be shuttle service from Austin at multiple locations. Details and passes coming soon. •Port-Os - We will be dedicated to a clean, sanitary, and convenient Port-O experience. We will also be introducing Air Conditioned Bathroom Trailers (available with Live Oak upgrade).
Speaking of... •New camping experience upgrades - Live Oak (VIP) campground featuring Tent Suites, Air Conditioned Showers and Bathrooms. There will be Power hookups available for RVs in GA and Live Oak camping. •Live Oak Lounge (VIP) - in a beautiful grove which features Premium Stage Viewing, Seating, Shade, Air Conditioned Bathrooms and Hill Country Spirits, Craft Beer and Wine. •Better designated camping zones - We will clearly define and mark Family Camping, as well as Quiet Camping and a new Sober Camping area. The tent campgrounds will be zoned and designated to help you find your way home. •New beverage accessibility options - You will be welcome to bring a set amount of adult beverages to the campgrounds, and there will be a general store with items for purchase. You will now also be able to purchase beverages in the venue. Our Beer Garden will feature the best craft beers brewed in Austin and beyond. •Expanded Food Forest options - We will carefully craft a culinary experience in the venue and campgrounds, featuring some of Austin’s finest establishments. •Cashless payments - We will incorporate RFID wristbands, to give you the option to go cashless, and expedite your purchases. •More experiential elements - We will be expanding our workshops, activities, art installations, relaxation and rejuvenation stations.
