I don't think clues are to assist you in buying a ticket since you can't buy tickets right now anyway. But to get you talking/thinking about it. Maybe even a little curious about looking at that lineup. They also can't announce certain artists because of contract obligations or whatever. I feel like i've said that last part 3 times already
You think they want everyone to talk about how the names they've announced are shit? I guess any press is good press. But when zero of the names announced matter to me (including U2), it's looking a lot harder to justify a ticket. I know U2 will get bodies to the festival, but at this point I hope they undersell again so maybe just maybe they try something that works next time.

let's dispel the fiction that we aren't going to check our phones at 8am next wednesday lol. but we're still talking about the festival when we see these roo clues. i'll admit the clues blow donkey dong but i don't think they're making any mistakes

Love the Clues. Love Dua Lipa. Love Borgore. Love Roo.
Sounds exactly like Tove Lo, Charli XCX, and artists in that genre. Why is everyone freaking out about a Thursday pop act thats probably going to play at 630pm. Jesus Christ, you'd think they announced she was headlining. None of the clues seem to be acts in the Top 25 so everyone needs to chill for 4 days and then continue bashing on Wednesday at 8:01am.

Go back and look at the quality of clue for every previous year, then take a look at this year's clues again.
Come back and talk after you've done so. Hereyou are.
This is a huge dropoff in quality from every year prior.

2016 Clues: Blood Orange, Jason Isbell, Lucius, Lord Huron, Tyler, the Creator, Father John Misty, Death Cab, Cashmere Cat
2015 Clues: Glass Animals, Caribou, Dopapod, Houndmouth, Bleachers, Trampled by Turtles, Moon Taxi, Flume, War on Drugs, Belle and Sebastian, Robert Plant
2014 Clues: Washed Out, Break Science, Chvches, Cake, First Aid Kit, Broken Bells, Seasick Steve, The Naked and Famous, Janelle Monae, Meshuggah, Ice Cube, Neutral Milk Hotel
Look at that shit, man. Looking at those lists of clues could actually give you a decent idea of what the lineup was like that year. I might say 15 lineup was a little better than the clues led me to believe, and the 16 lineup was a little worse than the clues led me to believe. They weren't terrible indicators though.

Haha, that's what Roo is all about! I'm excited to see some of my favorite artists, but Roo could release a lineup 100% consisting of acts I've never heard of and I'd still go. I go for the people and the vibes
can't tell if it is troll or real but i wanted to share.

I think LiveNation assumes that every previous Roo attendee feels the same way.
