I've been contemplating doing a play-in round before the two vote play-in round. For any albums that got no/one vote(s) this year, mainly cause they were forgotten/unknown until recently or got overshadowed by something else at the time, I may let people nominate albums and the highest few can get into the traditional play-in round.
Examples: Vince Staples last year Gang of Youths or Julien Baker this year

Or we vote for 2 albums per person that didn't get enough votes in the normal round and the two that get the most votes get let in last minute..?

I wasn't really into that nerd album except for the Rihanna and Kendrick (kites) verses. Felt too frenetic, incohesive, and almost over-produced. There's not much else this month so it'll get a few listens, maybe grow on me.

Agreed. Was really looking forward to NERD, especially with Lemon being so hot, but was let down by the album. I may add three or four tracks to my listening rotation. Saturation III though is so satisfying. Earworm hooks for days.
